A lot of our issues could maybe be solved if the coach would put Sam at center with 53 and 90 and move Vesey to Eichel’s wing. But they won’t - sbroads24
I like this post alot.
Why cant we look at sam at center? Was he really that bad the last time he tried at the nhl level?
63- 23 - 90
Let's give it a try |

Fippula
who's scenario is more likely???
yours - where we trade 9 assets for 3 top 6 forwards and then sign a veteran puck moving defenseman
or mine
where we trade a bag of pucks for a human bag of pucks?
That's some fantasy world you live in. - ThundernLightning
Well. It seemed to have worked well, lol...calm down.
Your scenario, no doubt...that is why the Sabres are celebrating 50 years without a Stanley Cup.
No balls...just excuses. |

What do you mean " it did not work"?
Were in a playoff hunt.
This is jbotts 3rd year. Nothing has been proven yet?
You arnt getting a 2c for a 2nd, 3rd and a 5th.
Come on, your better than this crags.
I think we're doing fine. New coach, new players.
Hutton has been a huge disappointment.
Things would be different with a solid #1 goalie.
Bitts is grooming that guy now - 6k - Boss34
Agree to to disagree. Not fixing the problem that has plagued the team for 18 months was a major failure. He focused on all the wrong trade targets and hoped the 2C problem would fix itself. Those assets should have been used elsewhere. But, like scrooge on Christmas eve, it's not to late to fix it if he stops hoarding his d men |

You really think our hoard of defensman our going to bring back a solid 2c?
I agree with you, botts was hoping mitts was ready. Dude lost a bunch of weight, looked ready. He was wrong.
Hypothetically speaking, if the plan was to make big decisions this off season, with the $ we have to spend, is that ok?
Jbotts following the plan.
A 4 year plan? This being year 2.4 ?
He really hasnt even had a chance to see his late draft picks develop. Especially because he likes them to mature to the nhl at a slow rate.
And I agree to disagree. No hard feelings. Just chatting 🤛 |

Creative thinking. I like it. You would end up with two balanced lines. Not sure why they haven't tried it yet. After all, Reinhart was drafted #2 overall as a Centre and everyone raves about his on-ice intelligence.

It would be incredibly hard to be worse than what Johansson has done at center.
I like Mojo as a middle 6 winger, but he can’t play center |

Maybe jbotts is waiting for HIS draft picks to develop?
Trading "assets" in hockey isnt a big deal
We didnt trade any 1st round picks
Do you ever step back from the ledge?
It's all day everyday. Then when someone you bagged on probably 1,000 times in posts, does well: you simply say " I said Larsson was playing well"
One time, and it's all forgotten. Seriously, JBOTTS is playing the long game. Probably following directions from above. When were close to making a run, he will make a trade or 2.
I'm not trying to insult you, but you have to look at other sides and points of view. Your narrow minded and post the same thing regardless of how many posters try and reason with you - Boss34
Botts traded a 1st and Guhle for Montour. |

He is too slow to drive the play from the middle. His strengths are half wall breakout passes, and below the hashmarks in the offensive zone.
Am still curious to see if a 9 million a year winger could, like Jack carry a line with 2 complimentary players, so let’s see it. |

Good call
Guhle is in the minors and montour looks great. |

Did we trade Risto, McCabe and Bogo the the 'Canes? Toronto has put up 7 on them. Carolina can't seem to get the puck out of their own zone this period. |

Without him and Skinner working magic in October, the Sabres wouldn't have gotten off to that 9-2-2 start. Which, as we know, has helped keep them in contention through some difficult stretches |

And then he fell off a giant cliff for the next 30 games.
He’s said himself he isn’t confident or comfortable right now and he’s statistically one of the leagues worst centers |

Agreed. He's been terrible since coming back from injury. Prior to that he and Skinner were kickin it |

That's means he is good at hockey.
Would you rather pay guhle to play in Rochester? |

Casey is fine buffalo is the one that just Handed him everything for doing absolutely nothing
Maybe now he Will work his a** off To get backup here prove hes a point per game player |

Nah I’d rather have Skinner. Easily.
And I couldn’t care less about what Laine’s point totals are while he’s playing with 2 guys who have multiple 30 goal seasons already. - sbroads24
Besides you and his dog, maybe his family, no one else would. |

There are a lot of people actually.
One specifically who you posted a tweet from about a week ago. Actually called him the most over rated forward in hockey.
His 10+ mil deal will look sweet after next year |
