We are the 5th best team in our own division. Which team is trading us two top 6 forwards in order for us to compete ?
This team is in a transition year and I hope they are competing for a playoff spot late in the season and if they make the playoffs ill be thrilled but the odds aren't great.

Pick who you like more between Montour/Risto and deal the other one for a 2C. Tage will be in consideration for 3RW or included in the trade package for the 2C.

tough call
your 3 points behind the leafs for second in the division with a game in hand
yet your playing 9 million dollar skinner on the second team pp with e rod and vesey and johansson gets the top unit duty
The thing about the “patience” argument, is it can be deployed every year, without endpoint, ad infinitum.
At the beginning of each year one could say, “were not winning the Cup this year, best to bottom out and get the highest draft pick possible.”
I’ve heard things like, “if you ain’t first, you’re last.”
And “better to finish out of the playoffs than lose in the finals.”
But that seems like a pretty drab fan existence, to only enjoy a season retroactively once it ends in a championship.
