Murray doesn’t have an nhl contract but I forgot about CJ smith lol - Sabretooth9
Yea, just read that but how hard would it be to sign him, he's having a decent year in Rochester. |

Guess we don't need a center for Skins.
Botterill probably Nancy Kerrigan'd his ass, because, well, you know, CTE. |

Remi Elie time - sbroads24
That would be quite the trick considering he's been injured most of the year. |

I meant more of watch us claim someone off waivers as the big move |

Well we are going to be adding another top 6 forward prospect this year I can tell you that. - Pegullaville
I’d hope so. But JB always says he takes the best player available to him in his draft slot. If the best player is a defenseman, he probably picks that defenseman. He can always be traded later on for forward help, right? |

No. If we have a top 10 pick and JB takes the best player who is a defenseman, then that player will be come a fixture on our back end. JB won't trade him anytime soon. Instead he'll take lesser players and try to package them for the top 6 forward we need, but that won't happen either. What will happen is... while send a package of crap to another team for someone else's Vessey and we'll hear a line of crap about how this poopty player is going to bring scoring. |

Yeah, I guess I’m not optimistic that help will come to this team via trade or free agency.
Pegville is likely right that the only route Botts will take is accumulating top 10 picks until the team gets good enough to sneak into the playoffs. |

Picking 1 top 10 player per year and that player needing 2-3 years development doesn't always work either. We are proof of that.
Risto picked 8th, decent defenseman, not great
Sam picked 2nd, decent player, not great
Eichel picked 2nd, Elite
Dahlin picked 1st, hopefully Elite
Nylander picked 8th, bust
Mitts picked 8th, on his way to bust
Cozens picked 6th, ???
We've picked top ten for the past 7 years, we have one confirmed stud (Eichel) one on his way (Dahlin) everyone else so far is a disappointment. |

I think his plan all along was to start to contend in 2020 when Dahlin had some experience and the bad contracts of Bogosian/Sobotka etc we’re off the books.
I don’t buy that the guys plan is to hoard D men. I just don’t think he’s gotten legit offers for any of them.
Im just to the point where I think it’s gross to waste Eichel’s career. It’s being wasted. |

Bad management, bad owner. What more needs to be said. Who wants to come play for an inept organization? |

Maybe Eichel doesn’t fit into Botts’ timeline for competing for the playoffs? |

Perhaps Stevie Y knew something 80% of the scouts and drafting community didn’t.
Seider has looked solid this tournament. - Pegullaville
Wasn't he projected in the mid-teens?
Effectively, him and Caufield exchanged draft positions.
And, Caufield looked like absolute crap in game against Canada.

This site so negative. Complaining about ownership...but if it wasn’t Pegula, the “Sabres” would be in Seattle or Quebec City.
JB-needs to have a trade partner. This isn’t EA Sports. So things haven’t worked out perfectly...at least the team is still competitive.
RK- has obviously brought in a culture and the players like him.
Give peace a chance, people.
