The leafs didn’t completely bottom out. Guys like Kadri, Reilly, Gardiner, JVR, Bozak we’re there previously.

The Sabres had nothing, then traded an entire pipeline to acquire a few pieces and then lacked the depth they traded away.

Every new day under Botterill is a colossal waste of time. What the sabres need is someone to obtain and evaluate forwards. He sucks at both of those things. He's proven that time and time again

Curtis Lazar is on the ice, Johan Larsson is not. Zach Bogosian is not either. We got a 12/6 game with Scandella out sick, too.

Dude spent two years making sure defense wasn’t going to be an issue for the next decade, when he was left with Justin Falk and Viktor Antipin as the 4th and 5th D men in the organization

Now he’s missed on Jimmy Vesey and Sheary, who cost almost nothing.

It’s like people forget how bad Pittsburgh was in the early 2000’s as well and that has built them a core that has been in the playoffs every year since like Crosby’s 2nd year in the league and won them 3 cups.

The Blackhawks picked top 15, 6 years in a row from 2003-2008.

The Avalanche have been a yo-yo for the better part of the decade landing Mackinnon, Landeskog, Rantenen, Makar, Duchene, Jost.

The Lightning picked top 10, 5 times in 6 years between 2008-2013. The one year they didn’t they snagged Kucherov in the 2nd round.

The L.A Kings picked top 15, 8 years in a row between the years of 2003-2010.

I’ve beaten the Jets and Leafs roster building methods to death.

It’s almost like losing and picking higher in the first round leads to cups or teams that are on the brink of cups.

The Blues are the exception not the rule, but if you look at their drafts between the years of 2005-2014 look at all of the names that were homegrown on that cup team.

The first two were no brainers. The last one was 100% pure luck.

If you're talking about O'Reilly and Kane, Murray gave away the farm for those two. And, lo and behold, they led us to last place or near there year after year.
