I really don't think you can evaluate Krueger with this roster. There are just too many holes. His system has helped some players and made others disappear, yes. I won't pretend to know why, exactly.

But he needs to be given a 2nd line to really judge him

I don't think dressing a goon does a damn thing to prevent head hunting. Players will continue to take runs at our best players because the NHL set it up that way. They will not be scared one bit because we have a goon in the line up. or are they scared of what the NHL will do to them. Case in point the hit on Dahlin. Dahlin out 8 games with scrambled egg brains and a repeat offender Cernak get a slap on the wrist of 2 games..

Oh I agree we are soft, Charmin extra soft. But playing a goon is not going to do a damn thing IMO. You need team toughness. I mind set that nobody messes with my brothers no matter what. that has to come from the head coach down.

I believe they do that for the quarterfinals and the semifinals.

The Gold Medal game is 20 minutes of 5-on-5 then shootout.

3 on 3 expanded to 7 minutes in the ECHL because of how much they hate the shootout

It actually involves some actual playing of the hockey other than a skills competition

Teams have changed their strategy in OT over the last year or two. They realize it's all about puck possession.

They either keep a guy who can control the puck during a line change or pass it to their goalie.
