I think we are at the point that trying to acquire what would be needed to bear TO and Tampa, maybe FL out of a playoff spot would be far too costly and damage our ability to get said players in the off season.
I am sick of not making the playoffs but tank is our best option at this point. What benefit is there to finishing with 85-90 pts? So we can say we exceeded expectations this year and draft another career AHL player?

I’d give Lazar some time on the top line, see if we can spark his scoring confidence. His speed and skill are fun to watch. He was a prolific scorer in Jr’s so he has the ability to bury the puck. Just needs a boost of confidence at the NHL level an Jack can provide that

Guys like him, strome should be guys who we should target. Guys that are young with potential for high talent. No one is dumb enough to trade a proven #2 Center like Botts did for scraps. Need to hope we get lucky hitting on an underperformer. Flank that guy with skinner and Reinhart and that could be a nice second line.
