Idgaf about wins anymore. Season is toast. I want to see Cernak KO'd
- jcragcrumple

Probably not gonna happen.

Would be fun though.

Notice Jake debrusk causing havoc on the boston pp.
We need a net front presence.

I'll see jbotts on Saturday morning. Wonder if he will still be the gm?

Homie, I got much respect for you, but this team needs NHL caliber Players before they need goons.
- hehateme

this season is lost

if dressing a goon, lets eichel and dahlin avoid concussions for the next 40 games, I am fine with it

Verbeek, Daneyko, Sean Burke, Kirk Muller, Kirk MacLean, were all either pieces of that team or parlayed to acquire pieces that were instrumental in becoming that dynasty.
- buffalofan19

Muller for Richer
Verbeek for Sylvain Turgeon for Claude Lemuiex
Burke for Bobby Holik and Jay Pandolfo

how do you feel when eichel is laying on the ice, with no response

or dahlin

or skinner?

the other guys in that locker room never respond

- homiedclown

I want to win games... I get it really I do, but this is not the 90's. We need players that can actually play.

I figured you would get to the specifics sooner rather than later. That's why I didn't bother to look it up.

Botts was forced to trade O’Reilly, correct?

No other real #2 centers have been moved,
except for Kadri- who the leafs weren’t trading here, correct?

So Botts best options to try & win now,
while building a contender for the long run,
was to draft his 2C
And smartly, he even doubled down on that spot by picking Cozens, even after Mitts was praised by literally every single expert

Kinda seems to me like Botts did his best to temporarily fill the 2C role,
while we wait for the guys he actually envisions to develop

If you think there were other legit options than what was done,
then I’m all ears

But once he was forced to move ROR,
it seems to be that he’s done his best to fix the bad situation

Mitts needs more time
That’s a bummer, but it’s what it is

This is what we get for trading ROR
If i remember correctly, you were even on board with that
It’s turned out to be a move that’s been killing us ever since

- jdfitz77

Soderberg and/or Haula would have helped. He went D instead

See I couldn't care less about this. "Blue collar" is synonymous with never winning.

So, sounds like the jury is still out on this one. I did tune into the third period of the Hawks/ Jackets game last night, but don't recall hearing Nylander's name mentioned. Was in the lineup, I think. Must have been on the bench mostly.
- Leafsmart

From a Sabres perspective,
Jokiharju has played really well
And he’s still young & will only get better

Nylander did nothing but struggle to meet expectations here
So much so that he even looked mediocre in the AHL
He’s got enough skill that he can still end up being a good player for the Hawks

But as of now,
Sabres fans couldn’t be happier with the trade

he loaded up on d men and expected to move one didn't

his soccer coach is wrecking casey instead of making him better

this is year 3 for botts, and he was suppose to turn this corner

they simply have not

if you think pegula is fine with this result, you might be in for a surprise after they clean out the locker room this spring

nope

a goon should be dressed for every game vs the bruins, leafs and bolts

instead of 7 d men

Only teams that have zero talent do this

Goons are gone

I agree with 19. Personally I think its a bush league move at this point in the season, we need wins not to punch Maroon in the face. However, if I am Jbotts and I signed this kid to a 2-way contract, I am telling him that he WILL go out and Hammer Cernak & or Kuch or he will never see NHL ice again with the Sabres. it is obvious he is here for one reason and one reason only.
- hehateme

Well might actually be a little Easier to get those wins having someone to answer the bell. Pushing back helps to open up space and room for your better players
