Reports I've read by Let's Go Amerks, Bill Hoppe and whatever the Athletic decides to write on the Amerks, say he's developed well.

hence the callup, conveniently aligned with the Scandella trade.

I fully expect to see his defensive game improved.

It's becoming pretty boring to hear about. Players with expiring contracts that don't see a future with a team that doesn't want to play them. What else is (frank)ing new.

it will be fun if he is up here and sits in the pressbox.. hopefully this means there is a trade in place for buy one get one... maybe we can get a 6th and then trade that 6th for another aging used to be some what ok middle 6 player who isn't a good middle six player anymore.

It makes sense, why now with pilut? Could have just done it as soon as scandella was traded, nothing has changed since then.

I have no issues at all bringing him in

we are down 2 left wingers though and the coach is still only playing him 12 minutes a night on a lower line

McCabe won't practice on Tuesday and he won't travel to St. Louis, which is where Buffalo plays on Thursday night. The Sabres brought up Lawrence Pilut from the minors on Tuesday. McCabe has two goals and seven points in 41 games this season.
