Yeah but a late round pick for bogo. Later in the year when his cap hit is less / money owed is pretty low. I think we could make it work. - Sabretooth9
It's definitely not impossible.
But the quick swings at "just dump him for a cowpie" is just not that simple.
If the Sabres can move him, it will be for a concession of sorts. |

He also has to stay healthy until the deadline, which is 50/50 at best. |

From Craig Custance, his trade bait board.
23. Zach Bogosian, Buffalo Sabres – Bogosian has requested a trade and that’s not an easy request to manage considering he has a cap hit of more than $5 million. “Good luck,” said one executive. But another source said a potential deal was still possible, depending on how much the Sabres were willing to take back in salary.
I was told it was easy to just ditch Bogo on the side of the road. - TheSabresTaco
He’s tradable near the deadline if we hold half his salary

Free pilut and put him with Risto ASAP.
That could be just for practice for yesterday.
We will see today.
According to ralph on GR that Frolik got in last night - Sabretooth9
If we are gonna play Bogo,
why not put him back with Dahlin?
1- they played well together last year
2- if they look good again, not only does it benefit us on the ice, but it lets other teams see that Bogo can still be a helpful player... and that makes him more tradable (in theory anyways) |

As you can see, there's building success, then he gets demoted again. |

He wasn’t last year with Dahlin
Not only did Bogo look good,
Dahlin looked better with him last year than he has for most of this year |

A lot of pedantic negativity on this board. Perhaps, just perhaps, there are some ideas that would be positive.
What, in reasonable terms, are we looking at next year? I thought the over/under for points would be 91. This year is trending towards that and I expect them to get there.
Assume top line is good with one of the following: a combo of Skinner or Oloffson taking that spot;
Fourth line is good. Complain about the offensive upside but I see heavy (not breakaway) speed that can wear on teams;
Middle six - who will they be? (note I expect Skinner/Oloffson and Johansson being there);
Can 6k be up to the big club next September?
Kreuger is a good coach.
Just wondering what you think should be done and Sega 94 trades are not allowed.
- TC4145
Good Question, I like it.
TDL 2020
A) Dump for draft pics (not going to get them all done)
- Bogo
- Sheary
- Vesey
- Girgensons
- Wilson
- Erod
B) Hockey Trade(s)
- McCabe
- Thompson
- Risto or Montour (prefer it be Risto, but open)
* these are main pieces in a package, not 1:1 moves
Offseason
- trade for a young 2C if not done so at the TDL through hockey trade...either Strome could be available
- sign in FA or a trade a 3RW, assumes Cozens get 2RW duties next season
- Draft BPA in Forward ranks, preferably RW or C
- Resign RFAs
* Larsson
* Reinhart, if under $7.5 with good term, if price is higher, I might consider trading him...but need a replacement so tougher to do
* Montour
* Jokiharju ( not sure if his contract expires)
- Extend Dahlin on a 3 year deal ( sort of an early bridge deal)

He did not look good. He looked passable. Big difference.
To your point, Dahlin made him acceptable. |

For the sake of argument,
I’ll use your wording
If Bogo looks “passable” again this year,
wouldn’t that make him more tradable?
And yeah, it was common opinion that Dahlin made Bogo look better
But look how Dahlin struggled for much of this year with different partners
Maybe those 2 just click for whatever reason
So if we are gonna play Bogo,
let’s put him in a spot where he can potentially be successful, or “passable” if that’s the exact wording you need
Can always break up the pair if it doesn’t work |

IDK man, he looks shot so far this season, slower, won't play physical.
I'd think they get a conditional 5th or 6th at most from my eye test only. |
