I'm not saying it's bad for him to become more defensively sound, but getting the productivity makes it easier for Casey to be receptive to learning again. When the thing you're good at goes wrong, it's hard to focus on anything else.

It's odd to me that Botts and Sexton are all about developing young players but forced Mitts in the NHL too early. You're right, he should have stayed in college.

I would trade ERod for the last pick in the 2025 draft. I would then send Bogo to Niagara Community College and have him take communications/broadcasting classes so he can perfect his DJ skills at the dingus day ball at the Polish Falcons in Depew.

Training camp is gonna be big. Doubt he sees a call up this season. Glad mitts is having some success.

Same. Once his confidence returns and he's comfortable playing his game and hockey in general, I think people will see that his 2 way game improves as well. Tage has experiences a similar developmental curve.

It's good for both of them, and hopefully the Sabres reap the benefits from it. It would go a long way in helping the depth on this team.
