Are you kidding
Hurt down the road..... were hurting right F ing now, we been hurtin
Hurting down the road GTFO
I dont hear the real teams worry about trading prospects for real nhl players
and its not liek we are asking for real nhl players my age
we are asking for guys coming into their prime.
Hurting down the line GTFO....... Hurting is the 5K every year for Sobotka on my 2nd line and having to watch Bogo et al bog down the back end
Id like to write a check for playoff tickets.... thats what I want to do. - hubie
I agree with you... Pilut, samuelson, borgen, tage, Asplund, I dont really care who they take, we just need that #2 center... Over pay if you have too. |

Everyone of those guys can easily be replaced.... how do we know this cause they replaced those who we said coudlnt be replaced in seasons past.
Mind blowing that people would think twice about getting a bonafide 2C in his prime. |

Gmtm is that you... no vision my man. Why do you think we are in such rough shape now.
Like I said in another post, I’m kicking tires and making deals. I’d include some of the d depth, mitts, tage, lotto protected 1st. But I’m not giving up the farm for those two when it’ll just put us back in the crapper not too far down the road.... Cozens and 6k are off the board for me. I’d like to keep Borgen and Samuelson but if one has to go, so be it.... other than that, i could be pretty flexible.... just don’t kill what botts has built over the last 2.5 season in the pipeline to play gmtm now...

2c for -mitts, asplund, joker and a 2nd
You would be happy? |

we have all that D depth we need to use some of it to get O.. i would think SJ would wants picks or prospects if they are looking to rebuild, not sure they are though with some of the contracts they have.. |

other than i feel mitts has a higher potential than the mexican i would say you are spot on.. now i guess it comes down to the term of contract on the 2C and who it actually is.. but yeah i could see that |

Who is this much better 2C that is available? None coming in free agency that will be signing for 1-2 years to be a stop gap. Which team is trading there 2C? Do you have any actual ideas, or just dreaming about an ROR trade in our favor, because that's not gonna happen. - adambuffalo
Strome brothers are supposed to be available....not cheaply I'm sure. |

I never liked Jim when he was the Bill's qb.
Met him a few times since, including at his football camp.
He's a different guy.

I agree
Same type of ror payment with inflation.
7 x 7.5 for ror?
7 x 8.5 for mystery 2c
And the Sabres would probably need to pay it up front in bonus form and let the mystery players brother play a few dozen games with us. 🙂
No bad we already traded nylander - he would be more girgerenko like. Mitts is probably a close 2nd. He could be a good nhl 2c in a few years. |

my opinion varies. Don't want him because of his inability to be a true 2C. - TheSabresTaco
I hear ya
But i really don’t think we are getting a legit 2C until Mitts or Cozens develops into one |

I do not buy that
you can make a trade in the division, just have to overpay
I mean how many times have the bruins owned the leafs in a trade - homiedclown
Let’s just say i agree for sake of argument...
Is Kapanen really a guy we’d wanna overpay for? |

Remember seeing Kelly at the Pier a few times, he was (frank)ing hammered. I used to live over by the Stadium on Wolf Rd growing up and played baseball with a bunch of guys that lived of off Jewett Holmwood, we went up to Eagle Heights one night and Kelly was having a Big Party at his House. We actually walked right into his house and tried to go downstairs but we got escorted out by some security guards. - Buff36

I'd go Domi in a mi ute, converted PW or not, the kid is producing in his role as a 2C now.
Not great on the dot, maybe the Sabres could hire a freaking FO guru as a temporary coach (JC why haven't they already?)
On pace for 60 pts, with 20G and 40A
WTF is not to like?
On another note, the Strome brothers are each said to be available for the right price.
Ryan of the Rags having a better season riding with Bread-man.
Dylan in Chicago 3 years younger doing pretty well with lesser linemates, now injured |
