0.6 ppg, extremely cost controlled for 3 seasons and young. I don't see the motivation to trade him unless someone similar is sent back. My guess is that Tonto would add a bit and we'd send Montour. Or we'd add a first to McCabe.

My best guess is, the value of Kapanen in a vacuum is less than it is to his team.

This is the worst excuse I see for Botts defenders. This is totally on Botts. There is zero concrete evidence he was forced to trade him. Some assumption that once he would be traded he had to do it right away to not pay bonus, again just an assumption.

Why do we give Botts a pass because of Pegula , give him another pass for inheriting Murray’s prospects when Murray’s was also meddled with. Botts accepted the poop return for Oreilly. He could of got a usable piece ready now.
