also, why does that one guy only use like half a line and then drop down a line to finish his sentence? - kicksave856

Yep. One heck of 2nd line C - lacaprup
Was thinking of guys from whos teams who would have put up the points
was hoping it would be something random like Randy Wood and got most of his points from one game or something. |

If we can all stop pretending that we're a 2C away from being a great team, that would help this message board. - TheSabresTaco
Clearly we are a 2c from being a better team, putting players back in better position and not wanting to lean on a rookie out of jr’s or a kid that was rushed and hasn’t put it together yet... also wanting to be that better team as to stop wasting the elite 1c, also isn’t a bad thing...
This is clearly the largest hole in this team that needs to be addressed and shouldn’t be left for the 1–3 year development of the pipeline players to fill... |

Twisting and...
4 on average per year, no cherry picking 1 year, rather using a reasonable, recent sample size.
Aren't you the one trailing on others for cherry picking.
Botts has needed a 2c for 2 seasons.
Not paying enough to secure such a vital position of need when having 12 NHL Dmen and 6 RW's is just piss poor.
Stop with the false narrative.
Not everything Botts does is right. - IonSabres
I never said that
The one who’s “twisting” is YOU for trying to include guys that aren’t actually “2Cs”
And putting others on the list that actually play the wing |

Hamilton always indicates that he plays really well after the 1st of the year.
It also helps it's a contract year. |

out of curiosity lets say we had a real 2C to start the year how many wins would you think that would have given them? - hubie
let's strip away all the variables. A real 2C in my eyes is someone of the Matt Duchene ilk.
I think this team has about 3-4 more wins. |

I get your line of thinking, but idk that it’s true
Arvidsson & Forsberg haven’t become 40goal scorers playing with him
I don’t think he has the same effect/results as playing with Eichel - jdfitz77
Forsburg 26g in 67 28 in 64 with 20 games for a full season how many does he finsih with?
Arvidson 29 g in 78 34 g in 58
You wouldnt take those numbers for Skinner and Fill in the blank other winger? |

I have been consistently with
2C
1or2RW
3RW
1st Pairing RhD
#1 Goalie too, I think they wait on that though...maybe draft Askarov in the 1st - IonSabres
Askarov will likely go top10
Can’t afford a lot of those other pieces if we add a guy like Johansen |

2016-17: .59 ppg
1/18 to end of 2017-18 season: .9 ppg (.61 over 82 games)
2018-19: .79 ppg
2019-20: .83 ppg

At the cost of Sam?
Who’s replacing him?
Adding an 8mil RyJo so we can get beat by Boston makes no sense, other than just the impatience factor
And i get that, i wanna see us win now too
But that’s not how u build us into Cup Contenders
U do so by developing our young talent
Not trading it away for overrated players who don’t get the job done when it matters
Johansen is talented, and been disappointing
Same with Duchene |

Skinner was on pace for 36 goals after 16 games before injuries started messing the lines up. Our 2nd line was on pace for 66 goals.
With Johanson I guess he would have gotten 50 goals, maybe more. I didn't realize he was the second coming. |

Curtis Lazar played 18 minutes last night. - TheSabresTaco
That's without making changes to the back end. I think we can improve there too, but that is the lowest priority for me.
Lazar is proving his worth. If we can keep him under $2m, that will be huge.
We can set the Sheary, Vesey, Girgs, Frolik, and ERod ships out to sea.
Keep Wilson if you must, but he should be in Rochester. |
