Once again the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame has shown why they are complete trash. - SABRES 89
They need to just go ahead and rename it the Music Hall of Fame. Drop the rock and roll already. Whitney Houston, Notorious BIG, Janet Jackson and Tupac. Just a few in the last few years. |

When we make the playoffs every year we can be in the position to make a bad trade
Was this a photo shop and slept though the cup finals? - hubie

You're my boy and you know it
But come on Washington winning a cup 5 years after that trade when Erat is out of the league?
Has nothing to due with Kuzt, Wilson, and Carlson?
Come on you're better than that |

No, it’s not
Kadri was the ONLY 2C that got moved this past year
Going back to 2016 when we weren’t looking for a 2C is ridiculous
Trying to say that some of the guys u listed are “2Cs” is ridiculous
And some of the others don’t even play Center!
Your argument is garbage - jdfitz77
With all due respect, your argument is garbage. You hold these logical fallacies and argue them as if they were truths. The fact that only Kadri was moved last year doesn’t meant that other Center trades were not possible. It is simply not true, yet you have been saying for a month or more as if it’s a solid argument. |

These things usually tend to work themselves out, but there has been major friction between Ryan Reaves and Pete DeBoer in that rivalry over the last couple years. Lots of chirping, Reaves hasn't been afraid to go after DeBoer. Will be something to watch. |

But making a bad trade can also hurt
Remember when everyone wanted ROR trades bc it wasn’t working with him?
How’d that work out???
Making no trade,
is better than making the wrong one - jdfitz77
I think you're missing the point of my post.
Some people think the action is to get a player that has proven to be capable at a position of need (Johanson), while others think that making a move for the sake of making a move isn't the right thing.
Let's say you can get Schieffle, or Point, somehow for Cozens+. Not saying you can, but a what if, does the conversation change? |

It’s just as easy to speculate that nothing was available, right?
So I’ll just stick to what’s known
Otherwise u can blame every GM in the league that doesn’t win the Cup bc they might have possibly been able to make a trade that we don’t know about maybe being possible if they were willing to move the right pieces on a snowy day with a full moon in January if only he’d buttered up another GM with a membership in the jelly of the month club for Xmas

Does player x make us better...and at what cost? That is the real question. I don't think that there is a "make the playoffs at all cost" ultimatum on this season. |

Yes, it does imo
Bc I’ve said many times that RyJo is overrated & overpaid
I don’t think he’s the right guy to help get us where we wanna be |

That's a loaded question
Does the player make us better now? Sure
Does the player make us better in the long haul? Maybe
Does the player who ranks #2 on Pronman's mid season prospect rankings (Cozen's) have a better chance of making a real impact on this team for the long haul? Maybe
Does the ELC that Cozens have give the GM more flexibility to make other moves? Absolutely

If I could get a Schieffle or Point for Cozens + the conversation is MUCH MUCH different than for Ryan Johansen for Cozens

Sure
It’s not a guarantee that the youth will develop into the studs we need
But in a Salary Cap world,
you can’t trade your way from where we are to being a contender year after year
You do that by drafting & developing
Again, there’s no guarantee we do that
But I’m not gunning for a fringe playoff team that maybe gets lucky and has all the chips fall our way to make a very unlikely & improbable Cup run from 7th/8th place - jdfitz77
Neither am I.
I'd like a team that contends for years no doubt. It has been long enough.
The team desperately needs a 2C and has for 2 seasons, and will need one for 2 seasons or more, anticipating Cozens development time.
The concept of making a trade for a 2C should be first and foremost in Botts mind.
(Working hard to trade ERod and Bogo should be close to last, let their friggin Agents do the dirty work)
Trading for a Center who has 4, 5, 6 years isn't for this year either, the exact opposite (before you go trolling with that rental crap again) it's for the future. Go get the guy, now if you can make a hockey trade. If Cozens develops and takes the job...trade said player..apparently they are like friggin gold in the market |

Idk?
But there’s been artists making it into the RnR hof from different generals of music besides “rock” for quite a while now
Is it really a joke to include other genres of music?
Especially since so many artists now a days are blending genres together in their own style... |

Not him, why him, and it's the rock and roll hall of fame. - SABRES 89
I’m not a Biggie fan
But he’s commonly held to being one of the best hip hop artists of all time
And of u wanna challenge why a hip hop artist is in the Rock n Roll hall of fame,
then you’re gonna have to do that for all the artists from different genres that aren’t “Rock”
Or just accept that calling it the Rock & Roll hall of fame sounds better than the music hall of fame,
and that all different genres will be considered
