The problem is ...... botts is rolling the dice hard on mitts and cozens being those centers. He could lose his job over not assessing the 2C position for the last 2 years.

Botts can trade for a 2C and if those kids pan out. Let them play wing or trade that 2C away.

Also, botts has had the trade rumor mill to tsn and sportsnet guys since October and it’s January 1. If you think botts hasn’t had any offers or anything close to that. You are out of your mind.

You pretend to know how I would feel about the cost if a move were made earlier in the season or off-season to help this club. I would have been more than happy to trade Montour and a second for a decent center which isn’t unrealistic.

What it took to get ROR is pointless. TM overpaid to facilitate the trades he made and ROR isn’t a comparable to an average 2C.

It’s funny how anyone can defend the job Botts has done. We have the worst morale of any professional sports team with too many players wanting out to even count. This year alone we have three trade demands. Risto wanted out before the season, Berglund retired so he could play in Europe. ROR said playing here ruined his love for the game. Lehner said he was treated like garbage here.

On top of that he has built a soft club filled with heartless players. He has ignored the center position while compiling more defensemen than we can play by a lot. He has mismanaged top prospect in TT and Mitts ignoring their development out of desperation.

If Botts isn’t mortgaging the future to win now then why the hell did he force Tage Thompson and Mittelstadt into positions they weren’t ready for with the big club? All Botts does is talk about proper drafting and development, and then he ignores this with two of our best prospects out of desperation setting back their development and ruining their confidence.

Botts has failed with finding a capable coach. And hasn’t given the coaches the players they need to even try to succeed.

Positively symphonic.

I love watching the winter classic. Too bad the league does such a piss poor job of promoting it.

And, its a nice change to watch hockey when you don’t care who wins. I don’t hate either of these teams.

I went to bed right after the game last night. I was so upset I didn’t even want to drink any more. Stupid Sabres ruined my night! At 4-1 I really thought that game was a turning point for this team. Boy was I wrong.
