The GM acquired a Dman last offseason that was his prize acquisition, who not is a healthy scratch and also wants out of here because he is not playing.

My only problem with that is how long they stuck with Mitts up here. If they weren’t trying to win why didn’t they send him down earlier when it was apparent he hadn’t taken the next step and it wasn’t working. They had him up here as a healthy scratch. Everyone paying attention saw he wasn’t ready in October.

You can’t claim you weren’t intending on being good at the same time you are desperately forcing prospects into roles they aren’t ready for.

No, one game doesn't "prove" anything, but your hypothesis that they act as a deterrent when there were flying elbows and stick work all night is on shaky footing.
