I never understood the anthem before a sporting event.

Imagine having to listen to the national anthem every day you showed up for work.

It’s really odd to me.

It's a vestige from WWII when it was played regularly. It had been played on special occasions before that, and during WWI at the WS.

We traded 2 assets and ended up with 1.

We lose this trade. Trading the 4th you acquired doesn't make it 2 assets. We lost a roster player and a pick to gain back the roster player to free up cap space that was going to be freed up at the end of the season anyway.

It's a horrible trade that makes no sense.

I just hope to god he's even slightly better than Sobotka.

Frolik in the Sabres lineup is better than sitting a D man.

I’d consider re-signing him
Has shown he can score a bit in the past

At the very least,
he’s a pain in the a$$ to play against
and can “protect” our good players

If he doesn’t work out, we let him walk

Was anyone still watching the postgame?

They just showed how Neal went up & told the officials the puck Risto shot out of play deflected off his stick, when they were about to call a penalty on us with 5min left
Apparently McDavid wasn’t happy with him

Apparently the 4th rounder appeared out of thin air and had nothing to do with the fact the Habs coveted Scandella and traded us the asset.

It was literally a 3 way trade that was just reported as two separate deals.......
