We lose this trade. Trading the 4th you acquired doesn't make it 2 assets. We lost a roster player and a pick to gain back the roster player to free up cap space that was going to be freed up at the end of the season anyway.

It's a horrible trade that makes no sense.

I urge you (not that you have any control) to not trade Dahlin because 1) right now, you’d be getting $.75 on the dollar 2) he’s a corner stone you build around, not trade for what can only be perceived as a lesser corner stone due to #1

It basically comes down to Frolik and Scandella being equal to the 4th round pick, since the same 4th round pick was traded for both players, however, we freed up cap space by trading Scandella and lost the most valuable part of the trade: the acquired 4th rounder, in this case, greater than the sum of it's parts.
