I don't really understand that, but it's alright that the goals dried up - Buff36
Never said that I was happy with the goals drying up. But he was/still will be getting the chances. Usually chances lead to goals correct? Skill + a little luck and the puck goes in. Skill + bad luck and the goalie dives across the crease to make an unbelievable save. Give me the guy that is getting chances that will eventually start cashing in, vs the guy who scores on the vast majority of chances, but gets relatively few. Not that difficult of logic really. |

Scandella is S
Frolik is F
the pick is 4
S = 4
F = 4
4 > Frolik = Scandella
It basically comes down to Frolik and Scandella being equal to the 4th round pick, since the same 4th round pick was traded for both players, however, we freed up cap space by trading Scandella and lost the most valuable part of the trade: the acquired 4th rounder, in this case, greater than the sum of it's parts.
Botterill is a literal brain-damaged moron.
If you trade Scandella for a 4th rounder and free up 4.5 millions dollars only to trade that 4th for a player with a 3 million dollar cap hit...
You traded a 4th round pick for 1.5 million dollars.
Should have just called Mittelstadt back up.
This guy is a (frank)ing jamoke. - U Sir Name
Nope - three way trade;
Sacndella to Montreal, 4th Round Pick to Clagary (Never ours) and then Frolik to Buffalo.
Haters going to hate.
If Botterill is a jamoke, is everyone on here the anti-jamoke? Asking for a friend.

We already have our slow useless player on the roster no need for another.
IF he was closer to 400 Goals id say sure throw him a bone, but id bet heavily against him potting 17. |

Not trying to get you heated, but never thought the chances would dry up for him, that's all I meant, he always gets his chances one way or the other |

The Calgary blogger doesn't seem to think he's slow and useless though. He's no great needle mover, but he has a purpose. Different coach and system could see him return to his 3 year avg from 16-19. Which was very, very useful. Disregarding salary. |

Of course he would, never said that he wouldn't, but people need to stop blaming who he is playing with cause he still was getting scoring chances. - Buff36
I understand, just think an asterisk is needed. His linemates don't matter...*unless that linemate is Jack.
If he was in Olo's spot and had 20g so far, wouldn't hear squat about him and his "struggles". That's all. Didn't mean to take you out of context. |

Only the people that wanted Botterill fired and said he was useless think he's slow. They wanted a trade they got 2 and still complain. |

To what end? Is bringing him in really going to help either the Sabres or Cozens much if at all?
What happens if he plays well enough to stay, but the team keeps losing, so you end up burning a year of his ELC on a lost season?
Just let him be and continue to grow in the WHL for another year. make him force his way on the roster. |

Are you serious?
C'mon, you simply can't be.
They need a
2C, 2RW, 3RW, 1st-RhD
and he gets a 32 yo, 4th line rental.
That makes sense how to fill their needs?
Fans are to be satisfied?
If it is one of 6 more trades, ok. |

Yeah, I understand that and he will not be easily replaced. But I don't see anyone wanting to move the conversation over to Garth's pages. So a month or two from now, we could be up to a few thousand pages under MP's last blog. |

I'm far from getting heated. The theme when he signed was ok contract for years 1-4, then he'll fall off. Streaks happen, and unfortunately the puck hasn't been falling for him, but it's not due to him playing any different or anything other then puck not bouncing. I'm saying over the course of 82 (which he won't play this year obviously) he'll score 25/30 regularly no problem, but they'll come in streaks. He'll still be getting his chances though, and I'll be worried when he's not getting them is all I'm saying. |

Then go cheer for another team, he's going to get a major player or players, for the 10th time i've said it now. Reinhart and Dahlin come first, so stop running your mouth about how much of a scrub Botterill is. There was no way he was getting any major talent now. |

This is a good point ......
The problem right now is olofsson and skinner being hurt. Who knows what the lines are going to be. Our top 6 is even worse / more of a mess. The bottom 6 is still a mess
Can jack Eichel make (insert left winger) into a productive player?
Eichel is literally going to have to will his team to wins. If Eichel doesn’t score or get points. The team won’t win |

I mean Asplund looked good on that line last night. Had a few zone exits and zone entries. |

It is what it is, Reinhart and Dahlin decisions come first, he's going to do this his way regardless what anyone thinks. People want a big time player or players well, they cost money now a days, 9-10 mill or more a year. How many of those players can you pay and still stay competitive year after year without losing good players in between. There is no way you can, not in this NHL. |

I think you are starting to get that Sabres fans in general are mad. I love hockey and used to watch other nhl games, amerks. College hockey and junior hockey
The Sabres sucking has drained my love for the sport. It almost hurts to watch the Sabres game because it’s so frustrating to watch
I’m close to a breaking point. It’s mentally draining and I am just a fan of the Sabres and love hockey
I just want good hockey to be played or something more exciting.
Right now, I’m not getting it |
