He probably deserved one at some point any how. Although yes, hischier is great, but he really owes his hart trophy to the fact that its awarded based on terrible criteria. - Sabresfan-365
Top end players will get points regardless, complimentary players will have their point totals inflated by those said players.
You brought up Olofsson before as a good example.
Skinner however is a paradox, with Eichel he really averaged the same amount of even strength production, he just had an uptick in PP points. The guy is an individual player playing a team game and will produce for himself regardless of who he plays with, hence why Kreuger asks him to drive his own line. |

Good win boys. Keep playing in the 3rd though... other than that, nice game. |

Feels like you're overpaying to make a bad bet.
It's the kind of bet a GM who is worried about his job makes. It might work out for a year or two. Screw the next guy. - Lunaion
To each their own. I think its a good bet, but Im not as invested in point totals on the last team and place value individual impact (chances, shots etc).
I believe he could continue this level of play for 4 more years and Id bet that playing either with Eichel or Skinner the points would still be there anyhow. |

We need a center 2000 times more than a wing. I understand getting a center is tough
Trade Bogo and Erod (apparently there are a couple of teams that like Erod for whatever reason). I think you’ll see Erod gone within a week. Bogo - trade for whatever you can get
Trade for a center - you now have $7m off the books. I know this isn’t easy
Call up Pilut
Oloffson and Skinner will be back eventually
We now have a playoff contender. Not sure how Hutton plays anytime soon |

But the team itself was worse, all the while he kept playing well. I dont know why that's being overlooked?
Also I don't know if bolded is actually true. - Sabresfan-365
Assuming Dobber is accurate, looks like he's mainly played with Jeff Carter since his 31 goal season. |

I made my points, and I know you see both sides. Argue some more with Fitz on it. It's more entertaining.

Id say top end goal scorers are capable of that, the ones that start and finish their own plays. Skinners 5v5 goal scoring was actually a bit lower before the injury than last year but its worth keeping in mind that he was tied for first in 5v5 goal scoring with matthews and McDavid when they traded for him
If they can land a guy like that more power to 'em, but with guys like Toffoli I think the on ice results are there and the point totals come down to who they play with. But again, the puck is usually going the right way when he's out there regardless of who he plays with. |

For who?
I don't discount your points i know im over looking some major risk. I just really like what i see beyond the points in LA and I think it would translate well here. |

I'm only scared of how much and how long the next deal will be, but seeing how consistently often other teams get out of cap trouble, I'm almost in an F it cap mentality now. That's why I'd try and sign Pietrangelo in the offseason if the Blues don't extend him. |

He's also from Ontario and maybe that will lean him more towards being open about signing with the Sabres. |

Isn't easy is probably understating things. The cost is also insane.
I wouldn't pay a massive price to rent. I don't think they are 1 player away from contending.

The inexpensive options are not very appealing either. |

Smart teams seem to always find a way out of it. Im more along the thinking of it won't matter.
Eichel's prime is the next 4 years, same with Reinhart and the best of Skinner's non prime years.
If they can't win it during then they should be looking at a soft reset at minimum anyways. And if they're doing that during the final 2 or 3 years of Toffoli's deal after 4 great years I can stomach that. |

For the rest of us. Take one for the team!
If you just have a gut feel that he's the right fit for the team, that's always a fair point. When I turn on a West coast game, it's rarely the Kings.

yep that's me, total team player lol
i admit Im only watching them when i can and really only for Toffoli and Walker. But if it were a real discussion and you were my AGM you'd probably be able to talk me out of it because the history of it not working it is definitely on your side.
Im also speculating that hes best available, that could change as early as tomorrow. |

Has anyone actually been seriously injured from jumping on those tables? I’ve seen a few videos where guys looked knocked out after, it’s crazy. |

There was a video this season from a road game where a kid ran and jumped off an elevated terrace, missed the makeshift table and was knocked out and taken away by an ambulance, while the crowd cheered him on. There was a lengthy debate on here about why no one stopped him. I’m a Sabres fan but not a Bills fan so I didn’t know that table smashing was a tradition, so I totally misunderstood the entire debate, until I watched some YouTube videos. |

except We’d have 3 new players though: Frolik, Pilut (who I think would be an upgrade over Bogo) and the center. Might not be possible but I think it would make us a contender. Not for the cup but definitely for the playoffs. This team needs to grow by playing meaningful plate March:early April games |
