Probably. I hope they don't make that mistake, and it's why I don't see him staying.
- Lunaion

we have our top 2 left wingers out long term and kruger is playing him with lazar instead of eichel

I like Vesey, but we can let someone else over pay him.

I’d consider resigning rental Vesey. He’s been solid as of late. Good on the pk with a few shorty opportunities...
- Gr8daygo

Serious question: is he? More than a couple guys have to be bad at it for us to be 27th. I haven't dug into the stats to see who the real culprits are.

I feel that way about all of our ufa's, none of them id rush to resign

I feel like there is a list of 100 players hes the same as so no need to over pay for him when one of the others is easily interchangeable.

he will not resign, kruger killed that chance

Ooohh geeeezzz what’d Ralph do to him? No first line minutes?

Why is it we heard players love Ralph. Ralph is the man. Heck even vanek came out and said he loved playing for Ralph, if I remember right.

But now; erod, bogo, Miller want out... scandella isn’t interested in resigning and Vesey won’t resign.

Is Ralph calling these players out on their play? I’m slightly confused?!?

I wouldn’t bat en eyelash at anyone of Bogo, Sobotka, Sheary, Vesey, Girgensons.

I’d bring back Larsson if the price was right.

Isn’t Asplund a better option up there?!? Oh well, I’m not losing sleep over him. Or scandella, or bogo, or erod, or sheary, or Miller, even though I think Miller has gotten the short end of the stick...

I like the speed asplund brings to the Eichel line. He gets to the puck and grinds in the corners.

Olofsson and Sam don’t have that same speed / forecheck

I like giving Asplund the chance. Vesey has done and said all the right things, but if he's upset, behind closed doors, that he hasn't gotten better opportunities in his contract year, no one could blame him.

And if you compared Vesey to Asplund... who’s the better option?

I mean, he has stood out recently on the pk and has looked better... I’m not sure how to break down the per player evaluation of the unit... I’m not that good with fancy stats. Just what I’ve been seeing...

98 points should get in the playoffs
45 current points
39 games left
53 points needed in 39 games.

I blame the Sabres but different reasons.

Acquiring Vesey was always a catch 22. He needs to score x amount of goals to outweigh play without the puck but giving him such a role would make the team worse off.

I doubt it.
