Why does everyone assume everything is so cut and dry. It's not. People never consider the business here. There's 8 dmen (till Scandella left) and Jokiharju clearly outplayed Pilut, so he got to stay. The org wants Pilut to play every game, just like UPL. His best chance to play every game is in Rochester, until now.

With Scandella gone, he gets every 11/7 game and the org can continue to probably deservedly spite Bogo and keep him in the box.

This is how this poop works. And it's speculation at best he explored a trade.

Let's try to remember that when Pilut was here, he was largely ineffective in the defensive zone, something this coach doesn't find acceptable.

Still disappointed he didn't get an earlier callup. I believe it comes down to 2 hefty factors.

Healthy, NHL dmen (I use that term loosely, as they're exposed to waivers) and the cap.

Botts put himself in a tough spot with zero cap. If your d corps is healthy, there's no room to call up pilut. Not until Scandella was traded.

Some of these guys like Montour and Dahlin have flipped sides. IDK what hand Montour is. However, I do know he's pretty good.

So his overall game is definitely better than McCabe, Bogosian, Miller and Risto?

He hasn't shown that yet. Probably one or two of them.

Hopefully eichel gets healthy this week. 5 day break to heal.

Too bad we need to win every game, could sit him vs. St. Louis and give him a full week to get better.

Eichel was obviously in pain the last 3 or 4 games. Having a hard time changing and getting over the boards vs. Florida late in the game.

I don't know why people think moving poopty players is so easy. You either get poop in return (Lucic for Neal) or you need to deal an expiring contract to a team with cap space for a mid to late pick, and that player needs to have been playing at an acceptable level (Scandella & Frolik)

Who the (frank) wants guys who are benched all the time for 5 (frank)ing million dollars.

Yeah I agree with this. Pilut is an excellent passer and Risto is not.

Hence why McCabe and Scandella sucked with risto. Neither can help make breakout passes

Sounds like Beane hopes Gore retires and they add him to the coaching staff
