Jack Johnson isn't a bad player but , we have him already in McCabe. Don't need another.
- SABRES 89

That's why my proposal included sending McCabe to Toronto for Kapanen. Toronto wouldn't miss Kapanen's offense and could definitely use McCabe. Kapanen is 9th in even strength TOI for the Leafs.

I’d rather have an actual Center not another one that is forced to play out of position.
- Pegullaville

And i heard domi has an attitude problem might be why they are shopping him

Yes he is, he has no reason to eat money, Bogo is off the books after this year.
- SABRES 89

Then why would it matter if he eats half his salary?

He may end up having to eat some money if push comes to shove but as of now, he doesn't care what Bogo thinks or says. Botterill's best interest in the Sabres not Zack Bogosian. Maybe he will need to add a low end pick to move him just to not eat money but, he does not like any dead money.
- SABRES 89

This is believable. Especially the latter. For a guy who's just going to fall off the books at the end of the season, it makes sense that whatever move he makes, in the end, benefits the team.

Jesus Christ you are not getting it are you, he does not want to eat any money regardless. It's been said countless times be me and after that a few times be guys in the Buffalo News and Sportsnet. There is no hurry to move him, you can bet for some crazy reason he does it money, he will come out on the better end of the deal.

Where's the motivation for Toronto to pull that trade.

He didn't benefit the team on the ROR deal but, he kinda didn't have much of a choice.

I'll take Max Domi all day on this team, Rob Ray has been chiming for him behind closed doors for 2 years now.

Do the Sabres need that guy next year, or do they pay Larsson and give a much better player, more suited to actually play 2C Bonino's salary?

I contend this team is better off acquiring a 2C that costs more maybe for a year or two while Cozens and Mittelstadt develop. And keep Larsson. Regardless of whether that's done in February or the summer.

- TheSabresTaco

Who is this much better 2C that is available? None coming in free agency that will be signing for 1-2 years to be a stop gap. Which team is trading there 2C? Do you have any actual ideas, or just dreaming about an ROR trade in our favor, because that's not gonna happen.

I absolutely inferred a trade.

I bet St. Louis fans didn't think they'd only have to trade trash and picks for ROR either.

take a look at this list and tell me that most of these can't be had for proper compensation

Kyle Okposo says Hello, does that answer your question. Doesn't want bad contracts holding the team hostage.

Im not saying I would go out and buy a Domi Sabres sweater, but I would definitely wear my Domi Knights sweater more often.
Lock him and Strome up here and my favorite jr players to watch are here for me to be happy at least.

I dont think we're using the same terms. I mean retain half his salary for the remainder of the year in order to acquire a better asset - or any asset. I'm wondering why he wouldn't do that

Maybe he will but as of now, I doubt it from what i've heard. I don't think they are very happy with his going public with his demands.

That asset would need to be a pick or a prospect. The idea is to clear enough cap space so that he doesn't have to absorb any bonuses next year.

There was some talk that Domi wanted his son on the Sabres but I don't know how true that is, Rob Ray mentioned it a while back. Ray has been chiming for Domi for a couple years now behind closed doors. I haven't go t a confirmation on that.
