Done!
Love it.
In fact, keep the 2nd, hold salary to enable their choice of Vesey, Sheary or Rrod to be added

- IonSabres

Should probably ask for a couple picks too.

Well, go for the trifecta
Hire Torts away as OC, Roger Nielsen as DC...even dead he could outcoach Smith.

"THE ATHLETIC: Jesse Granger reports league sources are claiming the Vegas Golden Knights are shopping around for a top-four defenseman to take some pressure off Nate Schmidt and Shea Theodore. Given their limited salary-cap space, Granger believes it’ll have to be a dollar-for-dollar swap. He feels a deal could happen at any time between now and the Feb. 24 trade deadline."

Send them Bogo, McCabe and a 2nd for Eakin and Tuch. Salaries are pretty even.

Dude I get it they don't want to move Risto but imo he should have been dealt last summer. And I agree they should find a buyer for McCabe. I would not have given QO's to ERod, Girgs and Larsson either. Same band of misfits. Big miss Botts.

Last 2 games ge played 6.00 GAA for the most part, played like a statue, sounds about right.

This organization is disgusting. What a joke.

Botterill wanting to hold on to all his defensemen makes him look even more inept.

If you want to get a quality, impact forward in a trade, it's one of Ristolainen/Montour that are going the other way.

The refusal on Botterill's part to admit that is a big strike against him.

Montour is also a RW cuz he played lacrosse, Kruger just has to motivate him appropriately and he can make the switch

Agreed. I honestly thought after the Joker and Miller trades it gave him the green light to move Risto. Too many RD and Risto wanted out seemed to me that they were gonna move on from him and we'd get a nice forward in return. Puzzling.

JB isn't just going to rush in and try to fix this team's problems. We all have to be patient, and wait for all the problems to work themselves out.

Laviolette 637 wins
- SABRES 89

Laviolette who was just fired coaching better players than the Sabres have and had a worse PK, worse PP and worse SV% and are only two points better? Why, because he won the Cup 15 years ago? Great, he won 637 games. He also loss 548. That equates to about 5 more wins than losses each year over his 18 year career. In 18 years he finished 1st in his division 4 times. Bylsma and Babcock both had a Cup win too and both had better winning percentages too.

"While the Predators have a talented roster and good underlying numbers, their disappointing record is due in large part to poor goaltending and special teams play." Nhl.com

Sounds like the right guy to fix our problems.

Maybe the offers simply weren't good enough. It was a rough summer to make moves. Joker trade was mid-July. Team's already made their big UFA signings and RFA's were holding teams hostage.

In hindsight, if you know you can trade for Joker, you just don't trade for Miller.

I mean he’s putting all of his trust essentially in his scouting staff. The forward corps doesn’t look so bleak if Mittelstadt, Cozens, Thompson pan out as well as another top 10 or so pick we are looking at again this year.

He should though at least bank on some stop gaps and make a relevant hockey trade to bring in an NHL proven player to play 2C. Skinner has proven he can score with someone who is at best an average Center so get him one while the kids develop.

Never put all your eggs in one basket, right?

Trade from your position of strength and supplement your forward ranks, as that will alleviate the pressure on the young players they've been overly reliant in the past 2 seasons.
