Does anyone know if Mittelstadt is playing on a line with Tage Thompson down in Rochester?

Ok?

My point was, organizations recover. That's all.

- Powerslave

This organization doesn't.

Pilut is 5'11 and 195. Hardly a lightweight. Plus he can actually play.

But does he get his ass beat like McCabe does?

What would you do for the trade deadline? Are you buying or selling? Would you still try to salvage this season and try to make a run for the playoffs? I know you were talking about an easy stretch coming up in the schedule.

They are all teams that are going to be legit for a long time.

What do the Sharks, Wild, Canucks, Flames, Habs have to show for all of their combined playoff appearances in those same time frames that the Panthers, Jets, Leafs, Sabres, Coyotes, and Oilers have been in the toilet ?

Honestly after watching the Penguins and Blackhawks dominate over the course of the past 15 years I cannot possibly comprehend how tanking is still frowned upon.

We have a core that will help us contend for a long time, we just need to put the finishing touches on it and surround the core. We are not far off as everyone makes it seem.

- Pegullaville

Chicago had a 1st and a 3rd overall pick when they won the first cup. The Sabres currently have a 1st, 2 2nds, an 8th, another 8th that's no longer with the team, yet another 8th that's in the AHL, and they're in the basement. The Pens had 2 1sts, and 2 2nds, and averaged 21.75 years old when they won the Cup, finishing 2 games short the year before. The Sabres top 4 average 22.75 and will not compete for a Cup this year. So, yes, tanking to get a few guys is fine, the way to go, but you have to start moving forward. Just look at the Oilers, they've been a tire fire for 12 of the last 13 years.

Also for the people who think some guys are too old to trade for, the Pens had Bill Guerin(38) 3rd on team in playoff scoring, Ruslan Fedotenko(30) 4th, Sergei Gonchar(34) 5th, hell even Chris Kunitz was 29 and he was 6th. The Hawks had Sharp who was 28, and Hossa who was 31. They finished 3rd and 7th respectively in the playoffs.

Entertainment value?

Wet1 acts like we can just turn the other cheek, score on the pp, and win the game. That would show em.

What's easier , changing the middle 6 or picking up a 700,000 goon?

- Boss34

Right. Like i said, i get your point
But it doesn’t actually get us closer to being a legit contender

Right 34, but you can't score on the PP if you can't hit the net with your shots. I think they missed atleast 7 shots on net on there PP's last night. But that's on the coach and gm

Fvck!
This organization is embarrassing.
Let's just face it, from top ( Terri and Kimmie) to the bottom (Fish (frank)-face Billy Big Mouth), they are a complete joke.

They are a 2C away from being a playoff team...yup,right

Mitts just needs time to become a 2C....heeeheeeheee, ok.

Tage is a top 6 RW,...O-(frank)ing-k

12 NHL defensemen, who collectively are 21st in the NHL in GA...#WhatThe(frank)ILoveOurDefensiveDepth

No friggin Centers after Eichel...(frank)ing none...well outside that "Outstanding" Larsson...holy crap what a joke.

Relying on a player in Juniors to be our savior...ok, after Rhino, Jack, Nylander, Mitts, Dahlin...complete friggin joke

An incompetent GM, "playing the long game" when for 3 years has completely poop the bed in the long game....but hey, let's double down on this asshat to make the right decisions when $34m and 14+ roster positions are on the line...holy crap, fvck let's bet the whole organization on Black 24 while were at it.

50th Anniversary, poop what a joke...zero, zippo, bada, none of those Stanley Cups.

Folks should probably stop criticizing Murray then. I mean, I get their frustration, but his job was hard. If TM’s moves worked, we wouldn’t have Dahlin. Instead of criticism, they should have just been more patient.

Ok, playing against a team that's owned us for years and won 62 games last year isnt a fair battle ground.

We lost by 2 goals, 1 an empty netter.
We played pretty well, what's your point.

One game doesnt prove anything either way. Man you're soft.

- Boss34

No, one game doesn't "prove" anything, but your hypothesis that they act as a deterrent when there were flying elbows and stick work all night is on shaky footing.

I'm soft? lol at least I don't come in here "ATTENTION LIPS: something something ERod. I know you said he should be cut, that we don't need malcontents, but that doesn't fit my narrative so I'll just spew some random poop."

We aren’t at the point where we should be spending the limited amount of assets & Cap Space that we do have on players in their mid30s

This team has zero friggin core players outside of Eichel.
Dahlin, is a hopeful...but his play this season is suspect.

The rest of the team is completely expendable. Plays with zero heart.

I honestly believe the best bet is to punt, fire Botts and start with a new GM.
Trade everyone outside of Jack that has been here more than 3 years that has embraced a losing culture.

So sick of 10 years of bulpoop laughing stock of the league.
Sergachev, the wimpy Rusky, owned the pussies on the teM
Embarassing.
Botts should be driving around destroying every taco bell in the area.
