This team has zero friggin core players outside of Eichel.
Dahlin, is a hopeful...but his play this season is suspect.

The rest of the team is completely expendable. Plays with zero heart.

I honestly believe the best bet is to punt, fire Botts and start with a new GM.
Trade everyone outside of Jack that has been here more than 3 years that has embraced a losing culture.

So sick of 10 years of bulpoop laughing stock of the league.
Sergachev, the wimpy Rusky, owned the pussies on the teM
Embarassing.
Botts should be driving around destroying every taco bell in the area.

Your incessant ranting about how everything sucks doesn’t appeal to me

Idk what to tell ya dude
But if all u can see is that there’s no hope,
then you’re really wasting your time watching the Sabres

I don’t see why you put yourself through it

What would you do for the trade deadline? Are you buying or selling? Would you still try to salvage this season and try to make a run for the playoffs? I know you were talking about an easy stretch coming up in the schedule.
- Beethoven

Why does it have to be one or the other, when it should be both selling and buying?

It should almost always be both to some degree

Sell off any UFAs that we aren’t bringing back or that are replaceable

Still try to acquire someone who can help us beyond this season

No, one game doesn't "prove" anything, but your hypothesis that they act as a deterrent when there were flying elbows and stick work all night is on shaky footing.

I'm soft? lol at least I don't come in here "ATTENTION LIPS: something something ERod. I know you said he should be cut, that we don't need malcontents, but that doesn't fit my narrative so I'll just spew some random poop."

The chicken wing by Killorn that just missed connecting with Asplund's head was especially dirty.

TFP TOP 5: LOPSIDED TRADES OF THE PAST DECADE

#3 RYAN O’REILLY FOR PATRICK BERGLUND, TAGE THOMPSON, VLADIMIR SABOTKA, A 1ST (2019) AND 2ND (2021) DRAFT PICKS
When making trades of such magnitude, clubs are often faced with a simple question in terms of desired return: quality or quantity? In this particular instance, Buffalo Sabres General Manager Jason Botterill went with the latter – and it has been burning him ever since.

After a disappointing three-year stint with the Sabres, O’Reilly wore out his welcome after some questionable comments following the 2017-18 season. Never scoring more than 65 points in a season, it was questioned what exactly Botterill would be able to get in return for O’Reilly given his $7.5 million cap hit.

The answer is simple: not enough.

While O’Reilly went on to help the St. Louis Blues capture their first ever Stanley Cup, winning the Conn Smythe and Selke Trophies while scoring 77 regular-season points in the process, the Sabres have been trying to do damage control. Berglund quickly left the team after the Sabres terminated his contract, Thompson has failed to stick in the NHL and Sabotka (16 points in 85 games with the Sabres) has proven to be no more than a decent, bottom-six forward. The draft picks may pay dividends down the road, but for now, this deal is a disaster from Buffalo’s standpoint.

Ok putz this team shows life and crumbles to ash the gm that won't do anything and resigns same players and acts as the outcome is gonna be different. We have draft picks to trade and defense that need to be traded but lets stick back and watch. Sorry ass kim pegula as a president of operations and I'm pretty sure your dumbass know more about hockey than her.

Folks should probably stop criticizing Murray then. I mean, I get their frustration, but his job was hard. If TM’s moves worked, we wouldn’t have Dahlin. Instead of criticism, they should have just been more patient.
- PrinceChill

I have said that with Murray about slowing down. But I still blame him, cause he set this Franchise back 5 years

Good article by Vogle at the Athletic about LTIR potential impact on Cap for next season, explains that Botts will likely be trying to trim his Cap hit down to about $77m by seasons end in order to absorb Bonuses on this seasons Cap rather than rollover to next season for those to be paid to players on ELC...Dahlin, Oloffson, etc.

Translation, he needs to cut about $7m through trades and sending guys down. Trades only enable a prorated share to come off, so the amount is much higher he needs to dump.

Interpretation, as Homie has said, looks like trades to unload alot of deadwood. Doubt we see any significant trade until off season.

What's it mean, see ya next year boys.

Dude... This IS a forum for ranting and b!tching........ The simple fact is the Sabres are the worst organization in the NHL with an embedded losing culture that will take a decade to fix. They simply do not have the courage to make any sort of major move to improve both the on ice product or the cancerous loser culture that exists. Everyone is entitled to their rants after all this team has failed to win a Stanley cup in 50 YEARS of existence and they are at least 10 more years from even serious contention.

All we ever hear about the Sabres is their cap issues. How come other teams do just fine in that area but are still able to field a competitive team? This tells me they need serious help in the front office.... GM...

Who's got time for that? 😂

And are we doing it based on their career, the last 25 games, or the first 15 games of this year?

I bet the list changes drastically.

No one had a problem with Krueger the first 15 games, now all the sudden he's worse than Housley because of the last 25 games?

He was never looking to make any big trades anyway, I mentioned that before. Why people are looking for that is beyond me.

Why people keep blaming Murray is another head scratcher, he was told by Pegula and Wonder Women to speed things up and he did that.

Botterill got nothing for ROR, NOTHING and NOTHING for Kane but Murray gets most of the blame.

Money isn't an object but now we are dumping salary, he will not eat any money or contracts, no way will he ever do that.
