This is why Sportsnet is poop. Today’s headline reads “Why Sheldon Keefe should at least be in conversation for Jack Adams“

Let's hope they get all the revenue-generating hits they so desperately need. |

Powerplay has been more effective lately with Horvat going to the net front. |

I went on to the score expecting to see something Canucks related from last night. Nothing. |

Pearson, Horvat, pettersson, Eriksson. Only ones without a hit last night. Tanev and Hughes on defence.
I'm pretty sure I saw Loui Eriksson accidentally run into someone last night, that I thought should have still been recorded as a hit. - manvanfan
Wasn’t a heavy hitting game until the 3rd. At the half way point of the game the Hawks has registered one hit. The Canucks had eight.
Yet it was a very enjoyable game to watch. Go figure. |

I didn't dislike the game but it was basically the complete opposite of playoff hockey which is usually the most entertaining type of hockey. I don't need 12 goals to be entertained. |

Me too, that’s why I was there. Iain Mac got his usual pap on there but that’s it. |

“Playoff hockey” is a myth. First round is usually awesome but the quality of the game starts to fade as rounds continue.
I think it’s the intensity you like and that’s hard to replicate over an 82 game season. So lots of goals makes up for the lack of intensity.
Don’t be that type of hockey fan that can’t enjoy the different facets of the game. |

Montreal Canadiens Sign Ilya Kovalchuk
JANUARY 3, 2020 AT 10:37 AM CDT | BY GAVIN LEE LEAVE A COMMENT
Another NHL team has taken a chance on Ilya Kovalchuk. The Montreal Canadiens announced a contract for the enigmatic Russian sniper, signing Kovalchuk to a one-year, two-way contract worth $700K at the NHL level. The deal is worth the minimum at both the NHL and AHL level, limiting the risk involved with signing the former Los Angeles King.

Why? It’s fun to point out character flaws. Especially when those people have so many flaws to point out. |

This is what some of us were talking about a few weeks ago. If Bo and Boeser find their game this will be a hard team to beat. As we see them finding their game has contributed.
Some people took it the wrong way and think they were being ragged on , but that is normal for HB - VANTEL
The win puts Green in the all star game add the Pacific team coach. |

Geezus, if that’s the case then EP or Miller should be all-star coach. |

I thought Green only got named coach if Vegas had lost last night? |

They are just ignorant of anything which occurs outside Toronto. |

I guess you can’t blame them. Just chasing the money. TO (southern Ontario) is really the only true sporting market in Canada and it’s huge.

That is what I thought too. However we do have 3 games in hand on Vegas so maybe that factors in. Is there any official announcement? |

Also true. Like I said we don't really know what happens behind closed doors but apparently it's working with JV which is great to see. |

Loui has quietly brought a pretty good defensive game back with him. He'll get a few garbage goals but he knows his role has changed. |
