Weren't we in a 8 games losing streak a month ago?

This makes no sense.

I just like seeing the odds of drafting Lafrenière rise.

- Scabeh

comment wasn't meant critically... just really surprised how quickly it seemed to fall off the rails...

I thought that with Price seemingly getting back to being Price and with Weber getting back in form as well..

Bernier (.905%)

Price (.901%)

- Steven_Seagull

you know that stats can tell you anything you want them to...

and that Bernier is the author of the book on how to deflate your teammates confidence... usually in the first 3 minutes of a game

Man, Keefe has been incredible. The detractors will claim this style of play isn’t well-suited for the playoffs, and this level of winning isn’t sustainable in such a high-octane offensive structure, blah, blah, blah. These are the same people who criticized Babcock for stifling his star players with a defensive-minded strategy.

No point shoving a square peg into a round hole, as they say. The Leafs have the most highly-skilled collection of offensive talent in the league, so playing any other style of hockey would make no sense.

On that note, good LORD are Matthews, Marner, JT and Nylander fun to watch. Marner’s vision and creativity with the puck is like nothing I’ve ever seen. He’ll push for the Art Ross trophy next season if he’s healthy

And the flaming dumpster fire of a team in Montreal....I mean, wow. Icing on the cake. What a time to be a Torontonian!

For the first two periods for sure. Seemed to expel just enough energy to win. As soon as the Jets tied it.. bingo .. popped two more goals to go up 4-2. Jets exhausted themselves trying to skate with the Leafs. Third period the boys tightened up a tad.

Also remember, this game on the road. Right after New Year's Festives. Glad we got the two points.

Now our next one should be a dandy. Isles craving for bragging rights.

- Leafsmart

I thought the Leafs played a pretty good third period. I was a bit concerned when the Jets got like four good chances on one shift, but after the first couple minutes of that period the Leafs seemed to settle down a bit and played pretty solid defensively.

To all the posters in here that said Babcock was the issue. I salute you.

I see flaws in the roster, but my god what a turnaround. I'm shocked Babs was so bad. We all saw issues but jeez.

It would be nice if the NBC guys would broadcast a Leafs game every now and then. At least NHL Network has the "live look-ins".

Go Leafs.

How about that Hoglander?
Fagemo looks very solid.
Raymond & Holtz somewhat invisible.
5-1st rounders on the Swede D wow

- Nighthawk

A little late on this from the last thread..

LA has some good prospects in their pipeline and could have a pretty quick turn around.

Finished in the show. Just like Phaneuf and Kovalchuk, the game has passed him by.

Never way to early to celebrate, winning the regular season is better than winning nothing.

Love the flare, but man, Anderson is the MVP of the league. The leafs with Price would be below 500 or hovering there.

Dopps, I just caught up on the Leafs/Sens thread. Frankly, I feel a little embarrassed I didn't recognize this account as one of yours.

Anyways, Happy New Year. All the best, buds.

Habs are done.

Injuries are piling up and they've got too much ground to catch up.

Would take some sort of miracle.

- Scabeh

Lot's of hockey left to play - Komi-sore-ass is all over Ek's blog claiming Kovalchuk will take the Habs to the promised land and Bergevin is the best GM in hockey. While he's not the worst for sure - if you had a do-over Scabbie - would you still do the Drouin trade?

Oh look. St. Louis allowed 7 goals. That team defense sure paid off.

Without a doubt. All the gifs combined with Bob coming to Dopps defence on the last page. I mean, I'm not Batman or anything, but it looks that way to me.
