I’m basing this off the box score and who is a negative.. did letang (frank) it up again?

No. Vatrano had a slight step on Letang. Jarry made the initial save then Vatrano knocked in the rebound. Tough play.

Now that 2nd goal Letang definitely dropped the ball. His decision making as of late has been terrible at times. I wonder if he's 100% right now.

Absolutely...soft and on the wrong side of the puck..goal one...second goal..he is entirely responsible.

Wrong about goal one. Vatrano already had a step on him and that is not a slow dude. He did as well as he could without taking a penalty.

Another good play by Simon led to another McCann chance.

The way he's setting things up I'd almost try him out on 1st PP unit.

Yeah I don’t think Letang was really at fault there. He had to come across to defend when the puck squeaked by JJ (not that he’s at fault either), Vatrano has a good step on him and did a fantastic job of shielding Letangs swipe at the puck too. Second play was a dumpster fire by him though.

Man, I rarely give Letang any poop, but he's playing terrible. His decisions on the PP have been awful today.

Ehhh. I don’t agree with that. I think Simon does a lot of good things on the rush, PP is more in zone play which Simon isn’t bad at but I’m not sure that’s a good fit.

Another breakaway on the PP that was all Kessels fault.

Fourth line: 3 shifts, 2 goals against. Let's see if they hit the again.

Yeah, plus Sheary keeps falling down and that isn't helping.

Simon is awesome at zone-entries and that's currently an issue for the Pens' PP. I think he cycles well and his passing is on point. I think one shift in place of McCann wouldn't be a bad thing to try. What can it really hurt at this point with how bad the PP is?

I guess your more concerned with the hockey acumen of the head coach and I’m more concerned about the players representing the logo the right way. Then again, Bylsma won with a less skilled team against a more capable foe. Those teams Sully won with were just better.
- Grinder47

I was more concerned with winning in the playoffs. Bylsma had equally good rosters with superstars entering their prime. I considered all that under-achieving as a poor representation of the logo.

Pens look tired. Mishandling the puck a lot. Errant passes galore.

Lol yeah. Purposely icing dog poop hockey players is a terrible representation of the logo.
