I've said over and over, pay your stars. DO NOT overpay for bottom 6 talent. Spezza is doing far better at the league minimum than other Gms pay 3 million for on a 4th liner.

The Marles depth plays a big part in this, So many cheap, good talent join the team that almost no other organization has.

It's hilarious Auston Matthews at 11.6 is viewed as worse signing than Leo Komorov.

Spezza is a bit of an anomaly...a smart, seasoned vet who wanted to come home. With Shanny and Dubas, I would think Keefe's player relationship will go a long way to secure similar contracts with aging, contributing assets, as well as securing FA's both domestic and abroad.

Karlsson it is a shame, that injury in the playoff run in 2017 ended his prime. He was amazing in those playoffs.
