I think there's a massive psychological disadvantage against Boston. Plus you can't beat their best player..

Why isn’t head butting a goal in allowed? - bryant
Rules is rules. I remember this coming up a few years ago when Shaw did it. Not many NHL'ers knew it wouldn't count. |

Ya I just saw the Ottawa goal. I didn’t know that was even a rule. I get the high stick and kicking because it could injure players, but head butting seems ok in my mind lol
Edit: I guess they could potentially head butt another player but that doesn’t seem as dangerous as a stick or skate. |

I go with the basic rule that it's still hockey - not soccer. The goal is to score with your stick. If the puck goes in the net inadvertently off of a body part (including your head or face), it's fine. If you DIRECT it in with said body part, the goal shouldn't count - hence no kicking motion, no head butting, no swinging your arms and knocking a puck in . . . |

Islanders have no scoring at all. You can't win in the playoffs with forwards like that. |

Jesus Murphy. I thought for sure that had to be wrong. They're 11-5-6 in the same span! |

Fair enough ... it seems a little silly that a puck can be shot off your head and go in and it counts, but when you intentionally try and do it or have enough skill to pull it off it’s no goal.
I guess it’s a fine line so it’s easier to draw the line on intentions. |
