He’s had one good season and this team never learns, they always hang onto players too long, except Trevor Linden, who netted Bertuzzi and McCabe. Time to cut him loose and let Demko take the reigns. - Pacificgem

As of right now 23 but should be around 35 by the end of the year, and I agree, your not gonna get a top ten pick but you might get a late first or a couple seconds.
Personally I think Markstrom should be left to walk, he’s gonna want a fortune and he’s not an elite goaltender at 30 years old. - Pacificgem
It all depends on the contract for Markstrom. You have to try to sign him to a reasonable contract. If Demko develops, trade Markstrom. If Demko isn't up to it, why not expose Demko at the expansion draft?
I can't wait for the, which forwards are we going to expose?
I was wondering awhile back if we should have let Hamhuis walk? He still seems to be playing ok which would have been better than Pouliot. |

For now, absolutely. We don't have the depth to make that move. But If we sign Marky something will have to give one way or the other. It's a 31 job position, soon to be 32. At Demko's age, he should be gunning for one of them soon if he's a legit starter. - Load Management
Tandem sharing of net is better for long term winning. |

90's night for game 7 SCF nostalgia mirrors a 7 game win streak where JV channels Bure to get game winner to right the wrong oh so long ago. |

LE best season ever that year. Didn't get a chance at the playoffs with Dallas. |

Not necessarily. In the end most teams run with the hot hand. A 1a 1b seldom works out. If you're talking a solid back-up, they are out there for the taking and no true #1 wants to be one. Demko is on a timeline, both personal and with the team. At the moment it works, but in time his goals and the team goals might not jive.
It's a probably Summertime discussion when we better know what we have in both guys. I just think in the end moving on might be what's best for him and us. He's good, but still not good enough to usurp Marky.
