I realize many of you aren't old enough to have seen the 72 series... it was crazy.
East German referees... best thing JP Parise ever did... threaten to kill him - which of course he wasn't expecting from the Canadians - because he'd obviously heard the same from the USSR regime
but most often it actually backfires... repeatedly gives the Canadians a us against the world mentality... nothing like a bit of extra emotion. |
