Not sure how true that is but I've never been a big fan of Duchene. Never spend that kind of money on a one way offensive player who isn't a true difference maker. - MJL
Its mostly true. Avs sucked until he left. Ottawa sucked once he was traded there. Columbus got better when he joined them but I guess you could argue they ended up sucking later on given the cost and they lost everyone and now NAshville |

LOL take him back for what reason or in what capacity?
Also how are the Flyers "way out of the playoffs" - opeth_pa
The silver lining is that they have played the same amount of games as, Canes, BJ, Panthers, but they have to stop the bleeding now! |

While that makes sense I am still confused with how the FLyers are way out of the playoffs? |

Are you saying we've been spelling Doucheyne wrong this whole time? |

They will be if this road trend continues. And I fear for the home games vs tough opponents, after a long trip. |

Any Interest in Kreider? Good speedy LW that always gives 110% - xShoot4WarAmpsx
What assets are you willing to give up for a rental?
How does he fit under the cap? |

I doubt flyerfletcher will take the great Peter back. Even with flyers way out of the playoffs now. And a brutal schedule to come. - Landsbergfan
I don't think Lavi would be interested in an assistant coach/AHL job, so why would Fletcher even reach out him?
Also, how are the Flyers "way out of the playoffs?" They're only 1 point back of a wild card spot and 6 back of a Metro spot. |

I always thought he was overrated. Very good top-6 player, but more of a second fiddle than a #1 scorer. |

Nice incisive, emotionally deep writing, Bill.
As to the commentator about not having a Malkin, superstar, godzilla type player, picking up the team.
Bite me.
Coots put up five points in the past five games. Three goals on ten shots. +2. No minus games. Avg 20 min+. 35/63 FOW.
Coots may not be ballyhooed but he's definitely a keeper. (Sometime puns just grab me by the fingers and force me to type.)
I'm not sure what can be said about ANYONE else of the senior players other than they aren't as good as Sean in adversity and rarely when THEY are on a roll.
Doing the job since his draft and always overlooked, he plugs along.
If I ever quit hockey, it will be after he retires. He vindicates my sense of what hockey and the players of same should be.
