That’s not saying much, piggy excites you. - K-man25
One of best guys on hockeybuzz, yet obviously Oilish and even worse, filthy Isles'ish... guess some incident with some Gränsfors was responsible for the latter. |

That’s never going to happen. Johnny is 150 lbs, he’s never played like that throughout his career and expecting him to start now is unrealistic. He’s a elite talent that brings a lot of other stuff to the team. If he was top 10 in scoring like last year all you guys would be happy, but because he’s not it’s easy to pick out his faults. Remember he was a 4th round pick, it was because of his stature not his heart.
Have we traded for Toffoli yet? - K-man25
I complained about him last year as well... |

Pretty boring down in your parents basement today?
You need a life buddy! - DEDDIE
you guys are missing my point, im not trying to rag on JG, hes a superstar in our league, and i am also not a troll, I come for good conversation and hockey talk. JG plays the same way Pettersson did in his rookie year, and how Boeser has played his whole career as a Pro, and how 95% of the Canucks roster has played over the last decade.
I am simply saying, no excuses for smaller/thinner players. take the hit, make the play.
Also, parents basement? C'mon now. we're all friends here |

If we dont get on a serious run starting tonight I could easily see us being a seller at this years deadline.
As Burkie once said 'intellectual honesty''. The Flames are not a cup contender! - DEDDIE
Are the Bolts contenders right now?
We’re the Blues contenders last year at this time?
You just never know... |

I dont think the Blues mortgaged their future at the deadline last year nor do I think the bolts will this year.
I'm just saying I would not trade a 1st or a good young asset for a rental based on the way this team is constructed and has played since the all star break last year.
If there is a hockey trade to be made where we give value and get value I would be good with that. I dont see one player putting us over the top.
Also if we dont play 600-650 hockey in the next 6 weeks I think Tree will sell at the deadline. |

you realize the Flames are 3rd in the pacific and 3 points off the division lead right? I know its tight but short of a meltdown the Flames will be right in the mix at the very least. Also, they had the hardest schedule in the first half...which means one of the easiest in the 2nd half. |

All good points flashfire but they are also 1 point from the stink hole for a wild card.
From my perspective they have not played well for an extended period in a year and until I see that from them I dont want them in on a rental.

I have no idea what point you're trying to make. Pettersson wasn't going to take that hit from Staal either because it's a dumb hit to take in a meaningless game. As you've pointed out, Staal is bigger than Gaudreau and Pettersson. It's not an excuse. It's physics.
Your video doesn't make any sense either, Pettersson isn't getting hit. - Hunkulese
Out of respect for Todd and this blog, I am not going to keep this going and beat a dead horse, but I did post 2 videos of Pettersson getting his above.
