I think the point is regardless of the circumstances we could have been a lot better. Sure the puck was bouncing around like a water balloon and we had the game tied late in the 2nd, but we folded and that's what I think people are criticizing.

As a young team they have to learn that sometimes pushing back the next game is too late. Especially in the playoffs.

I fell asleep and missed the entire game. Thankfully.
I think someone said the game fell apart in a 5 min period

It was 2-2 a little past halfway through the 2nd and then they let in 4 in what felt like 30 seconds

Your circadian rhythm did you a favour. They really looked like they were fighting it the whole game and fell apart when Marky did. Never really fought through it. A few people, including myself, have mentioned that this was a few games in coming. Maybe the road trip exacerbated it, but it was there being hidden under a hot Goalie.

In summary:

7 game win streak = not convincing

1 blow out loss to a top team who set records last year on the first day of an eastern road trip = very convincing

The 7 game win streak was not convincing. They won a few games they shouldn't have and their defensive game was going to sh*t.

Honestly I can't argue that too much, there were 2 or 3 wins that I'm not sure were entirely deserved.

Green will last the season for sure though, we'll see what happens come april.

I to despise the shoot out

Reality check it was. There are a few passengers that are only place holders. We improved our depth but some players should be moved out or left unsigned. It’s agonizing waiting for the next wave of prospects lol

I'm not stoked. That was an embarrassing loss. Fire Green.

Interesting to see how Green does in a playoff series against a seasoned coach.

It would be very valuable to make it in even if we get cranked in the 1st round. We get to see how Green does, how Marky plays, get some experience for all the young guys, etc.

If we can hang with the pack going into April they'll at least get a taste of what it takes to make it. That is just as valuable at this point. Hard to believe it's just barely over the halfway point of the season. Very entertaining so far....last night excluded.

Yeah, but they are there. It was more agonizing staring at an empty cupboard.

Match ups between coaches certainly play a role in winning a series.

Well, they weren't going to win out...right?

Thoughts on Tuesday's big loss, Petey's 20th goal and where the Canucks will go from here, in the new blog.

Fans were not very concerned or aware when we were on the cup runs. Now here we are enjoying the kids regardless if it’s not enough for some fans. Still I’m anxious to see the prospects progress & impact soon. Next few years will be exciting.

The biggest thing that can be done to improve this team is upgrade the all coaches, except Clark and Malholtra.

Agreed, glad to see you finally coming along..
