Pens record:
Scoring first...........17-2-2
Opp. scores first.....9-10-3
Out-shooting opp...15-9-4
Out shot by opp.....9-3-1

Seven is probably accurate.

- Thunderbolt

I completely made that number up lol

Look at record based on winning and losing the xGF numbers.

OK... then he has to take fewer shifts. He's making JJ work WAY too hard.
- Cousinskrid

Lol coach picks who goes out. Not Letang. Players don’t just “take fewer shifts.” Have you ever hockeyed before?

Knights Fans (or Knightards, as I prefer) literally think hockey was invented on October 2, 2017 to unite the community following the 1 October Shootings.

I’m completely serious.

Yes, but show me fans of a team at a live game who don't boo every time their team takes a penalty lol
- Rinosaur

Bro Pittsburgh fans are the smartest and the team never was close to relocating or anything like that.

WOOT! Get to see the only local game this season in Denver!

Shamless Plug...
Any Pixbergers in Colorado for the game, please visit my brother's restaurant across the street from the arena. Give another Yinzer your business. :p www.coohills.com

I think that might be the case with the Predators as well. Most of the fans come out because there is a chance to see a fight. It's like WWF on ice.
- chimpira

Yep pens fans are the bestest and smartest of all the fans.

They honestly put on a really great event there. The fans are mostly great. New fans learning hockey, but there's quite a few who try to act like they know what they're talking about and it's funny.

This one dude behind me kept yelling, "Get on the wing!" every time a Vegas player had the puck. LOL My gf doesn't know TOO much about hockey, but she gets the basics and even she was like what the (frank) is that guy talking about?

Also, and I'm sure this will come as a shock to people here, I can be a bit obnoxious at games, so I got in a bit of a shouting match with some dippoop and security came over to him and told him to chill out lol

The Vegas show is awesome. I was in the game presentation department at the Lightning and anyone who’s anyone in the sports industry loves what they do. Vegas is on another level of entertainment.

If Jake didn't go down for the season I feel the Pens probably would be attempting to either upgrade or add depth on the back-end, but my guess is they will be focusing primarily on a forward.

That said, I think Martinez is the perfect situation for the Pens if they could move out Schultz. Of course an LD would be great, too, but there just doesn't seem to be too many options out there that make sense for the Pens.

The only thing that comes as a shock from this post is that you have a girlfriend. Thought you were running through Vegas tinder hoes.

100%. Like I said in the other thread, there's some cheezy dramatic stuff they do pre-game, but overall they really make it a great event. Most of the fans are cool, but like with any sport you have your sect of obnoxious morons. Unfortunately those come in the way of guys who know NOTHING about hockey, but most fans are trying learn.

I'm happy the sport is growing and I love how hardcore people are about supporting the team.

Yeah... it's been a weird turn. I move on Friday and my plan in the last few months was to just have fun with the dating apps, but I wound up meeting the greatest girl ever. It's made my situation complicated.

She's actually the one who surprised me with the tickets.

See... cheesy to us adults means awesome for children. These shows aren’t meant for specific people. They’re trying to get the whole family involved. Definitely a cheese factor but the kids love it, so it’s cool in my book.

Where do you come down on those who switched their loyalties after the Knights came to town? For example, the people who have a Knights decal on their car, AND a decal from their prior team.

Pens games from my experience are pretty boring. When we were there for the Panthers game Sunday if someone would have burped loudly the players could have probably heard it on the ice.

Agreed. Vegas in general has done a terrific job with this team... aside from how they set up access to the arena.

All you see is VGK stuff EVERYWHERE. It's pretty awesome.
