Wonderful, Wonderful - The Killers

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Mad Max Fury Road
Ford vs. Ferrari
Logan

- Nasty_Duck

I remember seeing the Walter Mitty preview and thinking "this looks like cheesy sentimental crap, and I hate Ben Stiller."

Can you list some of your other favorite movies so I know if I should listen to you and see it? I did like Logan and Mad Max.

If you say so. Here’s some albums maybe you should check out.

Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern sounds in Country Music
Angel Olsen - My Woman
Nick Cave - Skeleton Tree
A Tribe Called Red - We Are the Halluci Nation
Destroyer - Poison Season

There’s a good start for you.

You think I'd write a 50 album list that was meant as a joke? Sturgill produced the Tyler Childers album I liked, so maybe I'll check that out. I am a fan of Angel Olsen, and I F'n love Destroyer, as long as you mean Dan Bejar and not something else.

None if my insults are from the heart, and I agree with you about Trump.
- Levit8

That's reassuring. I don't really care about the insults, but it's good to know you're not total scum.

Dude, some of columns you write seem to be meant as a joke, so one can’t be too careful.

Yes, that would be the same Dan Bejar Destroyer.

Love to see Americans digging a Canadian import, as most don't seem to know any Canadian bands other than Neil Young, the Band, and Nickleback.

Is this supposed to be an insult? If so you suck at it.

I thought it was pretty good.

As a youth I always said let Americans do the music and Canadians stick to comedy. But at age 14, I discovered D.O.A. And NoMeansNo and broadened my horizons to music from the Great White North....also being married to a Maritimer helps expand my collection to. In the spirit, here’s my top 10 Canadian LPs of the 2010s in no particular order. There’s no Arcade Fire in it as I can’t get into them, but maybe you could suggest a gateway album to try?

Alvvays - Antisocialites
Destroyer - Poison Season
A Tribe Called Red - welcome to Halucci Nation
Elephant Stone - Elephant Stone
(frank)ed Up - Glass Boys
Grimes - Art Angels
Black Mountain - IV
Caribou - Swim
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Luciferian Towers
Feist - Pleasure

Pretty comical when the troll can't see that he's being trolled

That is a pretty good list, I haven't head of some of those bands. Grimes is pretty cool, and I love God Speed. If you want to get into Arcade Fire, their most accessible album is probably Suburbs, but if you don't really dig their sound , they made a dance record with James Murphy from LCD called Reflektor which is my favorite disc they have.

Here's the thing: either you were a better guy than you let on, or are disqualified from having an opinion on anything I care about, so it was win-win for me.

Judging and commenting on poster's opinions is fair game. Thinking that you can know or judge someone based on what they post on here is just pure ignorance.
