If Pastrnak is on the short list, so is Matthews.
- Steven_Seagull

Let me make this easy for you fellas:

It's McDavid.

End of list.

Has a player ever won the MVP on a team that missed the playoffs?

And Dri has like 1 less point then McDavid.

MVP isn’t the best player in the league that season.

Impossible.

He’s a Leaf.

Pasternak has 1 more point than the next leading scorer on his team.

Matthews? 12

- Santo_44

If Marner had been healthy all season, and played 95% of the games with Matthews, and Keefe was the HC at the start, Matthews would probably have 50 by now.

MacKinnon. Landeskog and Rantanen were injured for a while, yet MacKinnon is just 4 points back of McDavid.

Yup.

Matthews is going to win the rocket. I’d put money on it.

He’s 5 goals ahead of 3rd and is on a heater.

I love what Spezza said

He said the Leafs can win with Matthews scoring 50-60 goals. And that he doesn’t need to score just 60 points to be a good player and win a cup.

Why can’t Matthews be in the conversation with those players?
He doesn’t carry a team...yet
He has more support...simple

You seem salty. Your imagination

Everything will be okay.it always was

He’s in the next group.

I disagree.

He has 5 more goals than 3rd.

He has 4 less points than Panarin but 8 more goals.

He has 12 more points than 2nd on the Leafs.

Yes. He has entered the MVP conversation and I love how salty it’s making you.

I always loved the Boston weather. It's like Toronto, only it changes so suddenly.

The day before St. Patrick's Day in 2000, it got to the mid-70s.

On St. Patrick's Day there was a foot of snow.

Good times.

That's why Marleau sucked.

4 kids at home, 2 on the road.

The thing that worries me is the guy runs hot and cold. He scores in bunches.

Fingers crossed, of course.

Yup and Pasta only scores on the PP. I'm not sure how to check but 85% of his goals seem to be on the PP.

15 of 32 goals on the powerplay (Matthews 8 of 31).

By the way, just go to NHL.com. They have a pretty good stats engine.

Oh damn I was way off lol! Every time I'm checking scores or who got points for my fantasy league it always seems when I check Boston games he scored on the PP.

But good to know on the NHL site!
