Irrelevant. We give up shots like they’re going out of style regardless of the opponent |

Even though the Rangers lost the last 2 on the road trip, theyy played good enough to win. A lttle puck luck could have been a 4 game win streak |

Buch can go with Brady - way out west
Buch, Skjei, Georgi, and Fast gone
Kreider, AD, Strome stay (Fast too, but at 3+mill. No way)
Kreider can be traded but not for a late 1st rounder. It needs to be at least a 1st. And a NHL ready player+ and prospect |

Realistically... What do you figure Georgiev is worth in a trade before the deadline? |

I would try and get a young NHL ready winger. Puljujarvi from EDM, Trenin from NSH etc.

Because someone brought up the Yotes yesterday as a Georgie destination, I'm still on the Crouse train. He may not have the ceiling of pool party, but I think he has a much higher floor and he's still only 22. Signed for 2 more years at a cheap contract. To me, makes much more sense from a cap perspective. Do we even know what pool party wants in his next contract just to come back over here? |

Once upon a time last offseason, I said we needed to lock Tony up for 2 million on a bridge contract, remember when everyone said that was way too much because he had no leverage, yeah let's revisit that lol |

I am not so sure Tony would have accepted that. He was betting on himself this season and it is paying off |

moving forward they may move Tony D to the left side, trade Skjei and have a right side of Trouba, Fox and Lundkvist
Larry Brooks points out Tony D played left side in juniors |

Davidson picked quite the year to take the job.
Whats he gonna do with Kreider and Fast?
How does he lock down Strome and ADA with the cap hell next year?
How long can he keep 3 goalies happy?
What does he say and do about Lias Andersson?
How does he keep the rebuild going but show the veterans they are still in on their playoff push?
Time to play like a New Yorker John |

He bet on himself after we squeezed every last penny from him. I don't remember what was reported that his ask was. Just for the sake of argument, let's say he asked for 3, I bet we could have gotten him a bit down from that. |

I'm all about trying him there. Him and Trouba could make a fabulous pair. Trouba could just focus on D. |

I just meant that I don't think he was looking at a multi year contract. Yea he was probably trying to get to about 2 million or so for this year but I think his plan all along was to prove it on a one year deal.
But this is just me speculating |

Fast needs to be moved on from. I know he's done alot here, but that's easy fat to cut.
The dead money situation isn't as dire as it looks, Shattys dead cap goes up about 5 million, but G's cap hit goes down, we don't have to bury Belesky anymore, and the cap should go up a bit.
We won't have 3 goalies next year I can almost guarantee it
Lias is probably traded, but I could see us playing hardball. it's not like he can go to another team. We've already seen with pool party and Honka, teams aren't giving in.
I think just this year as a development year for a young guys, may improve us enough to put us in the playoff race next year. Chytil is really coming in his own and guys like Fox have rounded out nicely. If just a couple progress, we will be better. |
