I’m in my philosophical phase on the future of coaches here. The considerations of who gets fired or hired is dependent on the direction FA has the team go unless a Prez is hired or if someone else is already in that role to some degree or more that is not clear to us.
I do not claim to have enough knowledge in who the next head coach might be if it comes down to that.
My focus is on change & building better coaching dynamics. I like Manny & Clark in their roles they stay. Brackett isn’t going anywhere & is a candidate for promotion. RH down in Utica is doing great & more talent in the organization. There is more I’m sure but I’m drying up on ideas lol |

Exactly & my train of thought also. - Nighthawk
As Lefty and Makita have stated, the structure is broken/not working.
The defensive structure is a big part of that, but it is all over the ice that concerns me, the team is always backing up, never pressuring the puck carrier, not closing up passing lanes, passing puck to clogged areas, far to many telegraphed crossice passe, etc.
All of these are part of the problem with the whole structure/system, not just defense,it is the systems in general that are to convoluted, which falls on the HC. Imo
Not trying to sound like a whiny female dog because we lost a couple games, I have been saying this since last season.

My ideas on coaches is for bantering purposes. It’s early stages only tossing out choices. Idk anything about say Huska but if he’s qualified for todays game to coach fine.
This early stuff is changes that might come later or sooner & I believe associate coaches is my preemptive action. TG could be close to follow maybe not. His situation is evolving or imminent change is coming. - Nighthawk
I agree. The assistants are the best way to go ....start w baumer
Personally I'd say it's the only move needed |

No offense taken just spitballin. In the case of Burrows sure he is green, pun intended, but he also showed fantastic character as a player that i believe translates into coaching. Adding to that he is a Canuck in every way along with being a heart & soul winner. Now to being more practical it asks the question is he competent at this juncture of the teams development. That is what ppl many will scrutinize. Imo he can bridge his playing days into putting his stamp as a coach onto the team. Green has done this albeit a different route was taken. In Carlyle he was a very good puck moving creating offence D man in his day & has the coaching experience. The team of coaches can be dynamic if the right pieces are there. - Nighthawk
And the thing about Carlyle is he's very smart and knows how to chañge the play
I've wanted him here for over 10 years |

I hearya. I choose to start with Baumer since I’m not liking the of the D corp as a group. Sure it’s a new remade group but I expect more results. He’s gone. On NB I see change alone would help us. On TG i totally agree it falls on him for systems & pulling it all together so he is under the microscope. Onto JB he is safe imo for at least a year or 2. |

He was a top flight D man in his day & his style of play translates into todays game very well. Just my take. |

A thought just crossed my mind that Burr replaces NB asap as special teams coach & forecheck coach. He was on the PK & with the Sedins & excelled in his role & can teach & pass it on. |

Maybe he’s retired who knows. It’s only an idea at this juncture. |

Utica needs centre depth, they have been using Jasek and even Lind played centre last game.
My hope is the Canucks are calling up someone from Utica. - Reubenkincade
Jasek has been playing lots of centre the year i thought. I don't really know the injury report but having Malone playing center between Baertschi and Boucher for a bit there.
Utica's highest scoring listed center is Carter Camper 21 in 25 and next is Hamilton 8 in 20 games Malone 3 in 23 games. That's basically it.
I can certainly see why that deal was made.

The thing is when the season started we had that winning stretch where the systems were sound and logical passes were made, etc. So the staff had that down. The question is why did it change? That's where I wonder if there's an internal rift. Wouldn't be the 1st time we've seen that disrupt a team. |

There seems to be a disconnect between the forwards and defence. Gap between them are too large and the other team is able to make nice crisp passes to gain entry with speed.
There's no team flow a lot of the time with Van. A lot of skilled players that aren't playing together. |

Our C depth is either in the bigs or NCAA. It’s still in the building the prospect pool from drafting something we expect more of from the JB’s.

They just extended all the alternative coaches and now we fire them after a 2 game losing streak on the road ?
I like it. |

It was a new system that no one had the book on. Enough games were played that systems could be viewed and teams made adjustments. |
