Maybe he’s retired who knows. It’s only an idea at this juncture. - Nighthawk
He may still be under contract with the ducks |

The thing is when the season started we had that winning stretch where the systems were sound and logical passes were made, etc. So the staff had that down. The question is why did it change? That's where I wonder if there's an internal rift. Wouldn't be the 1st time we've seen that disrupt a team. - SMBDragon
Teams throughout the league either hit their stride or fell into their place. |

They should send Sutter down - VANTEL
I currently have my own proof, groin injuries are not easy.
At this point I would be surprised to see him back mid Feb? |

They just extended all the alternative coaches and now we fire them after a 2 game losing streak on the road ?
I like it. - VANTEL
I hear ya.
For me if you recall I wasn't sold on baumer right from his hire. I've been calling for his replacement since 1/2 way through his 1st season as D coach |

Was that before or after you said this was the best coaching staff that the Canucks have ever had? |

It was a new system that no one had the book on. Enough games were played that systems could be viewed and teams made adjustments. - manvanfan
It didn't look like anything new to me, just good sound defensive play. But clearly they weren't using it later. The sound decisions were gone and positional play out the window |

It looked different to me and according to the coach, who openly stated they are going to be playing with new systems this season.
Now it looks like a blend of old and new but not a system that works unless the other team sucks that night. |

You only mention half of what I said. I've explained this before.
Traditionally we have had especially crappy assistant coaches with a few exceptions such as Ian Clark.
This is the 1st time we have assembled a staff based on position. Jb individually hired them as opposed to the Hc hiring them. So the sum of the parts is the strongest we've ever had....did you get it this time???
Try to follow along in the future k? |

The buzz phrase always came out as a team that’s hard to play against. That’s been TG’s theme song since day 1. He either gets better sustained results or someone else will come in with their systems. |

I agree. The assistants are the best way to go ....start w baumer
Personally I'd say it's the only move needed - SMBDragon
Green is not showing overall that he is adapting to the swings. It should be 3 and done for him. |

That's the reason why Goldy and Baertschi are in the minors.
LE is still getting time in the line up.
Beagle Schaller are giving up 3 goals to 1 scored and get more minutes that some of the highest 5v5 scorers.
It's time for Beagle to be traded. Horvat needs to play PK. Toews and Bergeron played PK for years.
PK isn't even good anymore and those same players are hurting Van terribly 5v5. |
