Cap control đź‘Ť
Would the Pens do this? What is their gain? - Nighthawk
So many injuries? Who knows. But they have a $5+m guy playing on the 4th line, so maybe they would be open to taking a flyer on Baer in their top 6 |

You only mention half of what I said. I've explained this before.
Traditionally we have had especially crappy assistant coaches with a few exceptions such as Ian Clark.
This is the 1st time we have assembled a staff based on position. Jb individually hired them as opposed to the Hc hiring them. So the sum of the parts is the strongest we've ever had....did you get it this time???
Try to follow along in the future k? - SMBDragon
what about the dream team coaching staff we had?
Torts
Sullivan
Gulutzan
All 3 have now been head coaches for multiple NHL teams. 2 of them won cups. Torts was just too tough for that locker room |

According to EK. Van's looking for offence, defence, and goaltending.

What could have been if instead Gillis had been able to convince Aqua that Torts was right and the team was stale? Some heads here would have exploded |

Yeah, that’s the point. The money is about the same, he’s a UFA, so you get out from under the final year of Baers contract.
I don’t really care where he plays, top 9 ideally. Maybe with Gaudette and JV. - 1970vintage
Just read that too. Was thinking the same sort of trade: Beagle/Schaller plus Baer. TSN said they’re looking for scoring help up front with their injuries, and I think Baer would actually work well with Gino or Syd as he can put pucks in the net and they can control the play. Would play Gally with Gaudette or even with Bo, see if there’s any chemistry there and get LE off that line.
Montreal is also near rebuild mode. I wanted Domi when he was in Arizona, wonder what the cost would be to get him now? |

my edits:
Sign Arseneau(SP?) and put him in over Bailey, he's Utica's best energy forward. Bailey couldn't cut it in on a weak Buffalo team so I've fine with him staying in Utica.
OJ stays in the AHL until he learns how to defend AHL players, let alone NHL'ers. He makes Stecher look like a shutdown dman.
Beagle over Sutter since he can at least stay somewhat healthy.
Lind should not be posted in future line-ups until he improves his speed/strength even more than he already has this year. |

Arseneau is older and slower and less skilled and has a lower hockey IQ and has never ever had a shot at the NHL. What makes you think all of sudden he has surpassed Bailey in any of those things?

Despite that JB just said he wants to "see what the team looks like when it's healthy".
Isn't that off season? |

I'd like to see what the team looks like with some minor changes. Underperforming need to be sat or sent down.
I just saw Zac Mac is being sent down to Utica. Is someone healthy? |

I must have miss heard when I thought he said Sutter wasn't skating.
If they sent down Schaller or LE they would save almost 200K instead of sending down ZacMac
2.8 in cap space with a 4.3 coming on the books..... |

They have 2 roster spots available.
Either Sutter is ready or they are going to call up someone from the minors after tonight's gam in Utica, as they play in Buffalo about 100 miles away |

If JB trades away any prospect I like or pick outside of the 7th round in 2021 for anyone that isn't signed long term to a team friendly contract that they are outplaying it. I will not watch another game till he's fired. |

I doubt they are going to call a player up from Utica that finishes at 830 pm and will be playing again at noon the next day. |

I dont have a problem with players like Lind andJuolevi getting a look this year, I just dont think now is the time.
Rafferty has earned a look, not sure if Arseneau could keep up to the pace, but again, neither can Loudini. |

Huh? You said Schaller and baer, and I said Schaller or Beagle plus Baer. Not sure how much more trash that is
Gets them top 6 and bottom 6 players. Would offer Sutter and Baer if Sutter was healthy, which they would probably be more inclined to, but alas... |
