I feel like you rag on Green a lot, but agree with this statement. He’s a playoff-bubble coach, coaching a playoff-bubble team to the playoff-bubble.

He’s done well bringing up the younger players on a young team, getting them to commit and buy in, showing them the ropes, and helping to create a good atmosphere. However, for the Canucks to take the next step, they’ll need to part ways. I just don’t think they team is at that point yet to take that big next step.

- NewYorkNuck

He said he wants the conversation to not be on certain players and people all the time, so he comes in to change it to the same person every time.

Edmonton’s Zack Kassian will have a hearing Monday for Roughing/Aggressor on Calgary’s Matthew Tkachuk.

my first view of it. I thought it would have happened sooner. Matthew rubs a lot of players the wrong way. Just needed to hit the loose cannon Kassian for someone to throttle him.

The real question is was it worth it ? Oilers lose the game on that PP. Calgary now passes them in the standings in a very close playoff race.

Kassian will probably be suspended for punching repeatedly a player on the ice not fighting back. He will probably be suspended 2 games. I hope he thought the beatdown was worth it.

Not at all.

Kassian has definitely been suspended before does that count as repeat? I could see 5 if it does.

It was entertaining as hell but as much as people think Tkachuk lost , he won. He executed his plan perfectly.

I just looked and Vancouver doesn't play Edmonton for the rest of the season.

A lot simpler is the euro schedule that plays every team once. Once in the first half and once in the second half but i like the idea.

I don't really know how often teams play each other anymore but i'd like to see them do something similar play each other team evenly between the first and second half.

They play each other 5 times in division??? it should be twice in the first half and three times in the second half vs division opponents to make the points more worthy in the second half.

They play Edmonton 0 times, and the Yotes 4 times before the end of the season, including 3 of their last 17.

So if they could split them between the two halves. You can't split 5 or 3 evenly but instead of playing the oilers all 5 times in the first half and the coyotes once, make it so that you play 3 or 2 in the first half for all division opponents and 3 or 2 in the second half.

Debate for this morning.

Does Tyler Motte deserve a chance to play in the top 6 with Horvat instead of Eriksson?

Motte is more physical. He has a higher PPG playing with players that have no idea how to put the puck in the net. They currently have equal TOI and have the exact same shooting percentage at 14.3%

Motte can take face-offs if need be. Is faster than Eriksson.

Is he just as responsible defensively?

Yes but he also tried to clip him dirty s few times too. Tkachuk got what he deserved. If you are gonna run around like a jackass like Tkachuk is...deal with the consequences just like Kassian said in the post game interview.

That makes it easier then twice each division opponent in the first half and second half.
