I'm not surprised you're defending the little turtle. However, lets be honest. The first hit should of had him removed from the game, he clearly charges Kassian, leaves his feet, and hits him in the neck/head. Yes his head was down, but turtle boy comes from near the faceoff circle to below the goalline to throw a hit on a defenseless player. If the officials would do their job this wouldn't have happened. Do I care that we lost? Yes, every game we lose to this pathetic team down south irks me. Am I happy that turtle got thrown around? Heck yes, only thing that would've made it better is if the linesmen let him get in another 10 shots and knocked him out cold for the first hit. For the record. Aside from a potential charging penalty on the hit that set Kassian off, I thought it was a great hit.

Wow really?? Turtle boy??? Haha
After realizing ya call yourself “Sloppywaggle”
I’m having a hard time putting my surprise face on that ya couldn’t of come up with something better...lmao
And hits him with his head down??? It’s called keep your head up my friend and thats simply taught in Peewee’s!!! and for the record there was no leaving the feet come on now!!!
Anyways, people may say that (in the big picture) that Tkachuk was the game changer...but as much as I love the guy it was actually Kassian dumbass response that was the game changer!!!
Tkachuk straight up tagged Kassian not once, but with 3 HUGE Ass (Helicopter like) clean hits leaving Kassian on the ice and his helmet was not within arms reach🙈...and it seems like every broadcaster or article I’ve read says the same...100% clean hits!!!
But being that (besides a couple little hits) Kassian couldn’t return the favour with any equally huge hits of his own throughout the night (obviously raising his frustration levels) he eventually lost his cool when the biggest game of the season was on the line...
FOOL!!!!!!
Like Tkachuk said, we’ll take the win and 1st place thank you very much and move on!!!
But what I loved most is minutes after Kassian was allowed back in the 3rd period, Chucky saw the opportunity and took it to him once again with another crushing hit!!!
LOVE IT!!!😉

What a stupid post! I get why Oiler fans are choked about Tkachuk not standing up for his hits on the ice. But that isnt what he does with every team, he targets teams biggest or bigger players that he knows will react & retaliate. He does whatever to get an edge to win a game. Now Kassian had every reason for payback, but when you clearly see a player isnt going to engage you back off & pick a different spot. Going psycho & racking up the penalty minutes is selfish, undisciplined & only hurts your team. Kassian will probably get at least 3 games for this & deservedly so.

Totally agree with your statement ! Tkachuk didn’t engage in a fight but to his defence when a guy I said grabbing your shoulder pads from behind and not letting go and continuously punching you from behind that is cheep And dirty! Do it face to face zak honestly Burtuzzi did the same thing he grabbed Moore from behind and punched him. Kassian should be and will be suspended for intent to injure

I wonder what daddy thinks of his son acting like a turtle. I know his dad was an agitator when he played but he at least had the balls to backup his crap. Matthew and his brother Brady both still need to figure out if they are hockey players or pussies.

Right, the proper payback for someone not fighting after a legal hit is a permanent injury. I'm glad you could clear that up.

Kassian wasn't injured on any of the clean hits, he just got made to look like a goof. Tkachuck definitely deserves at least a severe concussion for that.

Pretty dirty stuff from Kassian. Those were all good hits. I really could not believe Lucic wasn’t there to give Kassian a taste of his own medicine when he came back in the third.

Tkachuk went right back and hit him again when he came back. Good for him. Didn’t back down.

Solid stuff from Tkachuk after getting ragdolled

- Mahewman

Absolutely 100%.

Wish Looch would make at least a moderate return to form. Just completely a shell of his youth. He was some player, a total game changer in every way, and now not. If he was half the man he was he would destroy Kassian in a fight or as a player.

Daddy probably told them to go after the dumbest guy on the other team and that's what he did. Kassian should get 5 games today....league already said Tkachuk's hits were legal

I wonder how many times Doughty's pumped one out to that replay. I bet whatever fine Kassian gets, he'll be more than happy to pay the bill

It will be interesting to see. Remember Nurse's attack from behind on Polak? Pretty sure he only got 2 minutes and no hearing, right? I think there was a more recent one with no repercussions too, but I think this is the first time a guy attacked a team's star player like that, so we'll probably see the league react in a completely different way than if it were Polak taking punches to the back of the head...

Nurse got 3 games for that. To me, this one is worse because Kassian didn't stop.

Tkachuk is a turtle. If you are going to target a guy and run at him all game, answer the bell when he takes exception.

For the record, if any of those hits were thrown on McDavid or Gaudreau every broadcaster would have claimed they were cheap shots.

For the record - no they wouldn't. Not if they were clean hits, which they were. Now if it was Kassian rocking Gaudreau, there would be comeuppins for going after a star and a guy that weights 100lbs less than Kassian...

What did Bertuzzi get for his attack on Moore? Pretty sure he is still paying the price.

Why are fans like you so upset? It’s simple, act like that and these things will happen. No one got hurt. Calgary won the game. He got the last laugh. It will be a small suspension if anything. I personally love this for the rivalry. Players around the league loved it as well. I’m a fan of players like Tkachuk, he is good at what he does. But I’m not surprised when a player will rag doll him either. Next game should be good.

Quick question to the upset flame fans. Where was his teammates while he was getting ragdolled? Why didn’t lucic go after Kassian? I’m not trying to be a troll, but if what Kassian did was so bad I would expect his teammates to let Kassian know. Am I wrong?
