Regardless, Simon sucks at scoring. Always has, always will. It is an absurd waste to play him with a generational center in the top 6. Tanev and Horny are better options, IMO.

If there is a shorthand goal against, the PP players get a minus. And the PKers get a plus.

If an empty goal is scored everyone in the ice with the empty net gets a minus, which is bullpoop because there’s no goalie in the net.

Ok, well, scoring shorties and giving up shorties are kind of a big deal and don't happen very often (same with ENs), so I say +/- is essentially the same as goals for/against.

Think about defending a Crosby line with Simon on it. You never have to worry about Simon scoring so you can double-team Crosby. Talk about playing with one hand tied behind your back.

To add to the Hags comparison, Hags is one of the fastest players in the league and Simon has average speed.

If Sid is really the one pushing this, then the coach should override him.

Yeah agree, the normal complaints on plus minus don't fit here. But hopefully Simon turns rhings around now.
