I still want the leafs to grab kyle palmeri from the devils.

Hopefully mikhayev and Rielly are good for playoffs. Those would be good additions if they’re 100 percent coming back.

Maybe Rielly needs this break like marner did. Marner was terrible before his high ankle sprain and came back looking like his usual self.

Asking the wrong guy. We had our 2 get hurt in the same game against the Av’s. Sunk that season if there was any hope of the PO’s. Depth is important for every team with PO aspirations & a deep run. Dubas built this roster & chose spending/loading up on F’s

Allocating even more cap on a F doesn’t make sense. As much as you all probably hate it I’ll revisit that $11m on JT was a great signing but it came at a cost. Disproportionate cap spending has yet to be proven to be a good thing. Great fun & entertainment yes but the jury is out til it produces results.

It makes perfect sense when you have two ELC defenders coming up next season and, with Palmieri, you're bringing in a player with tremendous character and work ethic who only has 1 year left on his contract. Plus, you'd likely be shipping out another F contract (Nylander?) in return.

Per Simmonds, he's UFA at the end of this season and wouldn't be a big issue fitting him in somehow (if you can't get Palmieri).
