Maybe. But, They needed defensive help and contract certainty for next year before Reilly's injury. Every GM socializes their needs with each other when having a conversations about trades.
It's no secret the Leafs need a backup goalie and depth on defense.
There may have been a deal or near deal prior to this which is now revisited.
Would be hard to expect Ceci or Sandin to jump up and replace Reilly's minutes and role for an extended period of time.
With Reilly on long term IR you could also use his cap space to get a higher priced rental for this year.

They wouldn't even have to worry about Ceci...They could just send him to the minors once Rielly is back and they would get 1 million in cap for it.

Sadly I didn't get to see the game last night, did I miss anything?

I did get to see the Pete's game though, seeing Robertson and Der-Arguchintsev play was pretty cool, so much skill but man are they small. lol.

Am I the only one who is not really concerned about Rielly being out?
He wasnt playing great, and hasnt scored in years. the one thing he could at least do was provide a lot of offense to offset the lacking play in other areas. But he wasnt even doing that.

My Prediction is that if Muzzin is back, the Leafs play a bit better overall
