Are you sure about this? His minors salary listed same as NHL level
https://www.capfriendly.com/players/cody-ceci

- floater_willy

He will make the same.

Check out Alzner on cap friendly....if he is still in the AHL. The Habs get 1 million off his cao hit so they can replace him.

Trevor DeAngelo...According to Ek we're totally getting him from the rags
- mgriffen

DeAngelo is only 24 and has 36 points in 44 games.. Shouldn't cost us more than Bozak, Gardiner and a 2nd, right?

Oh ok.. I don't think the Rangers would trade him.. But, sure why not?
- PatC80

There are rumours they would.

He is due for a raise and is behind Fox and Trouba on the RS.

Custance actually reported it.

Rumours have it , the coach has lost the room.
- spazzbot

No, no, no - he lost the room key.

Which is even worse.

Even if they did decide to move him and Georgiev, both are RFA's at season's end.. We'd have to move a lot of money out to trade for them and to re-sign them

Who says we have to resign both?

Do they lose value after playing with the Leafs? They can't trade either at the draft?

It's a nice theory EK has, but we would need to move money to bring both DeAngelo and Georgiev here, and then we'd have to move money if we wanted to re-sign them both.

They both are signed to under a million......What money do they have to move out

And why are the Leafs being held hostage to re sign them?

I'm not sure I agree with that. It could get worse.
If they trade one or both at the draft for less than what they gave up.

Say they have to give up(for argument's sake) Johnsson, Bracco, Dermott and a pick.

Why then turn around and trade one of them?

Cause I have to assume a guy like DeAngelo has a lot of value and the Rangers won't just give him away?
