Players being expected to fight to answer for a big hit (especially on a star or rookie player) happens all the time. Such a relief the NHL DoPS has finally set the suspension standard for such actions. Players need to know that when you drop the gloves and start pummeling away at a guy who just threw a big but legal check, you're going to get two games.

Now more players will take runs knowing they can turtle and draw their opponent into penalties and suspensions. The NHL will be much more exciting to watch!
